  I received a NIP in the post having gone through a forward Travelo speed camera,   The camera gave out a white flash. Another car going in the opposite direction passed me. I replied to the NIP and asked if it where possible the Camera was working properly as it flashed.

  Apologies if this is covered in the speed camera thread, but could anyone tell me if the gantry cameras on the M42 Automated Traffic Management section 'catch' you if you're doing, say, 60 through a 50 indicated limit, or are they average speed detectors?

  Although they are placed to record your rear registration number. 1. Do they pick you up on the first camera you pass and work out your average speed until the last camera you pass? 2. Do they only work between 2 adjacent cameras? If so do all cameras operate or are they random? If you drive from Dundee to Stonehaven you drive passed around 7 fixed cameras, not including 2 that measure a 50mph limit.

  There are also these average speed camera's mounted on the gantry, although in Yellow. I thought the requirements of any speed camera that should have a Yellow background boarding etc., not just a yellow cctv type camera with its infrared sensor.

  This morning I safely went through a green light at a set of lights with a traffic light camera. However, at the lights along the road from this camera,I had restricted viewing due to buses. Emphasis on the fact that the lights i accidentally went through the red at were at the next set along the road from the camera.

  Hi everyone I'm back with another question  This morning king I was driving down a road and missed the first traffic light it was on red because I noticed the one across the road so I stopped but I was past the first light. My question is the camera facing the light isn't a normal red light camera looks like a traffic camera or CCTV. It looked like it flashed to me wasn't a huge flash could has been a other light.    Should I expect a fine and points or just a fine because it's not a red light camera total accident on my part.

  Been playing with one of these new small Flip Video cameras Seems the ideal camera to satisfy my long held desire to have a cheap simple video of the road ahead, certainly gives a good enough picture of the road ahead to give "police, camera, action" a run for its money Now it will only record an hours worth, but the buttons are mega simple and ideal for control while driving, would be easy to reset every hour Now all I need is a suction cup for the screen a la GPS but with a camera tripod mount to hold this small camera, and idea where to get one?

  Hi I went past a SPECS average speed camera today and wasn’t speeding but I noticed a post about 20 yards before it with 4 black boxes one on top of the other all at slightly different angles. The SPECS cameras didn’t have the IR unit next to it like the original ones did so wondered if these were IR flood lights or illuminators (as looked like the shape of a flood light) to improve image quality at night, or if they were additional cameras?

  hi. I've just purchased the media pack and reverse camera for my hyundai santa fe 2010. The mechanic/technician is having a problem with the reverse camera. He says he's getting a signal ok- but no picture. The car is going back to the workshop next week.
