  In an earlier post the slight touch in a car park, "Blessed be he who invented dashcams" Today, driving in the country, in a 30 zone doing 30, Had not set my satnav to drive for speed warning pings. normally set to zero tolerance. Warning light and ping for grip control and scs came on, looked down to see it and  must have accelerated a shade as taking a quick peek to instrument panel just on the exit to a bend noticed mobile camera, camera pointing in my direction of travel.

  Hi, I've recently come across a few issues with my 1.0 EcoBoost Focus.  I was driving down the motorway a few weeks back and as soon as I put my foot down the acceleration cut off temporarily. If I take my foot off and slowly ease back on it's fine. This only happens when the car has fully heated up and will do it in all gears.

    At the point of sale the vehicle tax is surrendered by the dealer who claims any refund due. Strictly speaking, the buyer needs to tax the vehicle to drive it legally to the ferry to get it out of the country. (In the real world you drive to the ferry the same day - the car still shows as taxed for a couple of days) I and many other expats don't have a UK address.

  So this is prompted by a friendly argument I've had with a couple of family members. They think I'm nuts for having never had breakdown cover. I've been driving for 25+ years and in that time, despite driving some pretty ropey cars, I've broken down twice. In both cases I called up the nearest recovery firm and paid them cash to take me home or to a garage.

  Except a friend who owns one says there not quite cars and are loud i have not found this to be the case when test driving a few.  A quite car is important as i have a hearing problem and therefore need a quite car.  I did a db reading when test driving at it was 55db which is fine and i found this link which is similar to my reading http://www.auto-decibel-db.com/desktop.html.

  And everytime when I trun on the engine same message coming but no limp mode or any other problema. Actually the car drives very well like always. Since I bought the car I never left city and all the time I was driving only to work and home. In 6 months I've done only 1000 miles. Could this be the problem, or is because of something done wrong during the timing belt change?

  It's something that's been happening for some time, even after MOTs and services. A friend told me it's excess fuel burning. The car drives well, idles fine and apart from a few seconds on the occasional start up it never happens while driving. No black or blue smoke either. Thanks in advance. Chris.

  After getting my white lines repainted earlier in the year and that having stopped 99% of the inconsiderate parking in our little street, one particular offender has started again, the other day, double parking his lwb mercedes van next to his car, which is in front of his house, but then obstructs me from getting in and out of my drive. I saw a "Parking Warden" the other day on the main road nearby, who, after explaining, told me he would drive past in his camera car, no need to stop, and it would be monitored /uploaded and a ticket issued by post.

  My budget is around £10000. I'm 6ft 6ins so legroom is vital and relatively economical driving. I've been looking st the Dacia Duster to the Ford Focus but no set ideas. Any ideas on something that would retain a reasonable trade in value ? I like automatics but not essential and a DAB radio would be nice.

  Hi We are planning a move to Cumbria, but I will stil be working in London during the week and hence driving between the 2, twice a week, so about 6-700 miles per week round trip, mostly motorway driving. I'm therefore looking for some recommendations on cars to look at. Main requirements: Economical (high MPG, low tax/insurance, low running costs basically)  Reliable.
• ford focus 1.8 tdci 2007(57) - same old droning noise from front 14 Jan 2017 (Forum)
  It is speed related and doesn't really start until about 25 mph, when i dip the clutch the noise continues, i have no  problems with gear changing and no problems with the car generally except for the noise. So far i have changed both bearings, both drive shafts and cv joints it has had new wishbones, but i still have the noise. It has to be some sort of drive problem as it doesn't do it on tick over. Stumped

• 55 plate ford ranger diesel - 55 plate ford ranger starts missing at 65 mph and 26 Nov 2016 (Forum)
  Just bought a 55 plate ford ranger from a dodgy dealer, sold as a runner, but no warranty due to price. Problem drives fine up to 60 mph, when accelerating past this speed, engine starts to miss, vehicle has no more power, and, glow plug light comes on. Vehicle starts ok from cold, glow light goes out, vehicle drives fine up to 60.
• Any - Inconsiderate parking (part 2) 14 Jul 2016 (Forum)
   We have some  white lines in front of our driveway entry and the 3 Garage entries that are at90 degrees to us (on the end of a close) We need constant access for swmbo for when she is "on call" and the furthest away now uses her parking space, so stopping one of the main offenders from parking his lwb van on the whitelines/pavement at that point. This morming, went out to find a driving school car parked in front of my drive, and politely said i need to get out. "Won't be a minute" i need to get our now.. Just checking my messages... So move across and let me out... (moved with a scowl) Do white lines actually mean anything?

  I have a 318i bmw on a 07 plate and this morning whilst driving noticed that when driving over any small bumps on the road there was quite a severe clanking sound coming from the passenger side front wheel which has never happened before. I pulled over immediately and noticed the wheels are nearly touching the wheel arches.....might seem like a stupid question as cars and problems are not my forte.....is it likely it is the suspension or could it be something else......unfortunately I have been ripped off several times By different garages since my son moved away as he used to come with me.....any advice would be really appreciated......thank you

• Suzuki Ignis - Suzuki Ignis 4Grip - removing Transfer Box 2 Jan 2016 (Forum)
  Hi, I have posted on the Suzuki Owners forum but cannot get any help with this issue, so hoping I have more luck on here :) I have a Ignis 4Grip - 2004 - and it is suffering with knocking and other issues - I have tracked the problems down to the 4 wheel drive transmission and the transfer box.  I have done many and various repairs (including removing gear box and built a kit car) but have not worked on a 4 wheel drive vehicle before.   I am looking at removing the transfer box and then getting it professionally reconditioned/repaired and I wondered if anyone had any hints/tips they could give me before I undertake this?
