I see that the christmas breath-testing results for Wales have now been published.

Nice to see that my area (North Wales Police), although they conducted the greatest number of tests, had the lowest percentage of failures (just 1% failed the breathalyser).
Maybe it shows that their policy of massive testing has actually sunk in with the public, and people are far less willing to gamble when they know the likelyhood of getting caught is higher.
I can also say that NWP appeared to be doing at least some of their testing 'intelligence-led'. On a few occasions I saw police cars parked up by roundabouts, junctions, keeping a very close eye on the traffic approaching. They certainly looked like they were waiting for particular cars !
