Nuisance parking 26 Sep 2011 (Forum)
We live next door to a car repair garage. My drive is parked over and blocked numerous times a day by the garage owner, customers and delivery vans. He also has cars parked on the road for weeks and months on end that never move. We have asked him so many times not to block our drive. -

Philosophy About Driving 4 Dec 2003 (Forum)
Mostly we talk here about practical subjects and pretty much by definition people who are interested enough to participate take their driving fairly seriously . But if you look at some of the threads that repeatedly crop up under one name or another , what we are frequently talking about is morality in driving. What I mean by that is, that driving is probably the most responsible act most of us perform each day in terms of its consequences for others. -
Is it time to ban driving 'aids'? 14 Apr 2003 (Forum)
- this could get tiresome; I'll stick with 'him'). If you get into a car knowing that no matter how stupidly you drive, the car will sort it out then you are going to take risks. But then if, next day, you climb into a different car which hasn't got all these 'aids' and drive in the same way, then you'll like as not end up dead. -
Night driving. 9 Nov 2018 (Forum)
I know quite a few people who are finding driving at night difficult. Ok when they are on the motorway or well lit roads but B roads when an oncoming car has those superbright searchlights for headlights theycan be blinding. Some taillights are so starkly bright you can't look at them. -

Ford fiesta - Driving after an accident 21 Jan 2013 (Forum)
My sons car has been in an accident, rear end damage that appears to be minor (bumper is intact but either side plastic bits sticking out and crease in boot) It has been reported, waiting for a response from the other insurance company, but is it ok to carry on driving it in the meantime? Does it have to be re-mot'd or reported to VOSA? -

Driving gently to ameliorate high fuel prices 6 May 2009 (Forum)
As I expected, the subject of recent high fuel price increases has been forgotten, just as it was every other time there were increases. If the subject didn't get regularly forgotten I'd still be driving gently to ameliorate the fact that petrol has gone up from being 5 shillings a gallon. -

obstructing a driveway 15 Jul 2007 (Forum)
It seems to be established that the road in front of a house is a public highway and anyone can park there - not just the owner/tenant. How about a drive to a garage or when the occupant parks on his front garden? What is the LEGAL position if someone parks in a manner to:- 1. Prevent access to the drive. 2. Prevent exit from the drive. Is it an offence and if so what offence? -

Driving bigger cars 16 Dec 2006 (Forum)
Other than just getting used to it, is there a best way of getting the hang of driving a bigger car? I'm getting better at the side distance, but reversing around things (E.g. parallel parking) and up against things still gives me the heebie-jeebies! I always seem to manage a fairly good parallel park but normally through luck. -
What happened to Test Drive magazine? 5 Oct 2006 (Forum)
Does anyone know if Test Drive magazine has been pulled from publication? I liked the format and down to earth road test articles but I haven't seen the magazine in the shops for a couple of months now and a Google search doesn't give me any info.
