Inthis weeks Auto Bild there is a concern about spare parts for reasonable new vehicles.VAG said it was not producing certain parts for cars over 4 years old and BMW over six years old.Zenon headlights pre 93 are no longer available for BMW ,they can be sourced from Hella but a cost in Germany of 2000? you must buy two.If you have a BMW / over 5 years old with a few faults unless you can source parts at a scrap yard then it is cheaper to scrap it and buy another with a mot ticket. -

we are going to equip a pick up truck (Nissan z24-old model)with a diesel engine.there are two selection for us.a diesel engine 1.5 liter with maximum torque 200 n.m and a 2 liter engine 252 n.m. car curb weight is 1550 kg ,gross weight 3500 kg. current gasoline engine spec. 180 n.m and power :100 hp (just for information) would you please help us which engine is suitable roughly? -

Hi everyone, My car had a tyre blowout on the motorway approximately 2 months ago - it was a new tyre, Capital, that had been fitted 3 weeks prior. It exploded with no warning, and I was lucky to escape with just some damage to the front bumper of the car (no other cars involved). -

HJ, My car is a 2003 Leon 1.9 TDI SE110 which I believe is quite old VW technology, but is it old enough not to have the infamous dual density flywheel issues? As the car approaches 70K miles it has a slight increase in the normal agricultural VW diesel vibes and was wondering if new engine mounts would help? -

I saw five broken down vehicles. One elderly Korean car (at least 10 years old - probably a Hyundai) and four French cars all less than two years old..... I also moderated my speed and mananged to keep to about 60mph for about 100 miles in four bites and averaged just over 31mpg. -

It used to be the case that if you took your car in for an MOT a month early and you took the old MOT with you, the testing station could issue you with potentally 13 months of MOT. Is this still the case with computerised MOT`s. Also would the same apply for a car which is 35 months old taken for an MOT. -

Hi all, I've just replaced my 90BHP 1.8 Tddi with an 03 115BHP 1.8 TDCI; but it feels the other way around! The old car had a good zip to it especially at 2K RPM; but the new car just feels asthmatic. It is 102K and has FSH. (Belts just done); -and is an estate. (The old one was a hatchback). Does anyone know a cause for lack of power? -

We are looking to replace our current 10 year old Mazda 2. We recently test drove a Hyundai Bayon at a main dealer. Ten months old with 2k on the clock. It looked a nice car, perfect for the wife. However we were very surprised about the noise of the engine. -
