  All-Lego Ford Explorer rolls off the line 29 Sep 2011 (News)
  Last month we brought you details of Lego's biggest kit yet - the 2048-piece Mercedes-Benz Unimog . But now the firm has gone one better and built an entire car out of the small plastic bricks .  This Ford Explorer "rolled off the line" from Ford's Chicago Assembly Plant, where the the more conventional Eplorers are built.

  World car award picked up by Mazda2 25 Mar 2008 (News)
  Industry experts from Europe, Asia and the Americas chose the vehicle ahead of competition from the Mercedes-Benz C-Class and Ford Mondeo. The Japanese manufacturer was given the gong at the New York International Auto Show on March 20th 2008. According to Mazda senior managing executive officer in charge of marketing, sales and customer service Dan Morris, this marks a "wonderful" achievement.

  One of the vehicles is a 1934 Packard Eight Sudan which was once supplied to Fiorello H LaGuardia, who served three terms as the mayor of New York. In addition, fans can get up close to a 1985 Mercedes-Benz SEC which belonged to late comedian Bob Monkhouse. However, those interested in purchasing the vehicle may need to empty the savings account as it will cost them a cool £5,000. Other cars on display include the 1924 Talbot 10/23 as well as a three-and-a-half-litre-engine 1935 Bentley.

  Lightweight Porsche makes £830,300 at Festival of Speed sale 5 Jul 2017 (News)
  The car was the big seller at Bonhams Festival of Speed sale, which was held at Goodwood on Friday, 30 June. German marques did well across the sale, with a 1962 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster being hammered away for £897,500. A much earlier example from Mercedes also achieved a top price A 1911 Mercedes Simplex 28/50hp ‘Roi des Belges’ Tourer sold for £359,900 having been in single family ownership for the past 60 years.

  Summer value at Historics' first sale of 2014 12 Mar 2014 (News)
  Five passed under the hammer, with top price going to a 1965 Series I (below) at £91,840, while a similar model, except for beign right-hand drive trailed it home at £87,360. Mercedes-Benz cars are always a strong presence at Historics, and of the 15 cars offered, 13 sold. Top Benz was a sympathetically-restored 1968 280SL Pagoda, which moved home for a strong £73,360. Another interesting car was the 1968 Volvo Amazon, which sold for an above-estimate £9500.

  One 1958 356A and Five 911s from 1971 to 2001 in Historics 100 th auction of 155 classics at Mercedes Benz World Weybridge on 23 rd November. Catalogue now on sale, price £30, admits two to the auction. Lot 139 is a RHD 1976 Porsche 911 2.7 Lux, owned and cherished by the vendor since 1980.

  Two Jaguar XK120SE Roadsters in Historics 24th November Classic Car Auction 9 Nov 2018 (News)
  Historics 24 th November Classic Car Auction at Mercedes Benz World, Brooklands offers two Jaguar XK120SE Roadsters: a 1952 and a 1953.   Lot 283 is the 1953 XK120SE Roadster in silver with chrome wire wheels. Converted from left to right-hand drive by the vendor, then stripped to bare metal and painted in classic Jaguar silver.

  1963 Innocenti 1100S Spider Joins Lots in Historics 24th November Auction 22 Oct 2016 (News)
  A rare 1963 Innocenti 1100S Spider is one of many more lots now consigned to Historics 24th November Auction at Mercedes Benz World, Brooklands, Weybridge. This very pretty sportscar sharing looks with contemporary FIAT Spiders was based on the British Austin Healey Sprite and MG Midget. One of only 2,000 built, first with 948cc A-Series engines and latterly with 1,098cc the car was impoeted from Rome in 2015 and is MoTd to February 2017.

  However, it was not only Ferraris that proved popular with bidders. A well-presented 1962 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Roadster found a new owner for €1,114,400, an extremely stong price for one of these (the gullwings generally set the pace). Always popular with collectors, the 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400 also sold strongly at €425,600.
