  My battery died bought a new one but inadvertantly put terminals on wrong.Got another new battery but wires were not long enough changed wires, put new battery on worked fine. Went to start it this morning but battery was dead any ideas.

  Hi, Hope someone can help. How do you diagnose a problem with the battery /alternator. I'm not sure if the problem is with my battery not holding the charge or if the alternator is not pumping enough charge in to the battery. I have purchased an battery tester but I'm not sure what the readings should be.

  I have to replace the battery in my sister-in-law's car, and as she does only short runs and the battery has died twice already, the RAC advised her to get a new one. Can anyone tell me which original make/model of battery is installed in a 2005 BMW 320 Petrol Saloon?

  Hi all, I have a Renault megane 1.5dci 55 plate. Looking for some help so i dont get mugged of at the garage. The problem is the battery light is on when i start the car and sometimes have trouble getting it to start. Even after a long drive when i next start the car the battery light is once again lit up. I have had the battery tested and its fine, ( new battery last year) I had a gadget put onto battery and it says charging ok but not at maximum capacity.

  I need a new battery for my 2016 Hyunai Tucson (diesel 2.0 136hp auto). However I am slightly confused by the range of batteries on offer. Looking at the Tayna website I have the choice of Standard, EFB or AGM batteries.

The old battery is longer but not as high and of higher ah rating then the ones that various web sites say is the battery type for my model of car there are no markings on my old battery how do I decided which batteery to get.

  I think I will shortly need a new battery for my 1.6 petrol Focus. The question is do i have to replace the current battery with another Calcium battery or can I just use a regular lead acid battery, will this harm the alternator etc ?

  Hi, I have had a new battery fitted and since then when braking sometimes the battery warning light comes on and it feels like the car might stall. Has anyone any idea why this might be? Had no problem before new battery fitted.

  How hard is it to get a replacement battery for a Lexus RX400h off the shelf. I don't really want to go to Lexus and get fleeced. I've tried a couple of high street multis. They don't seem to carry a large stock of batteries. This morning I was presented with 4 batteries at a battery/exhaust fitting centre, none of which would fit the car.

  Drove to work aweek a go went to come home at 4pm battery was flat ,got a new battery from halfords fitted that night the following morning battery was flat again. changed the alternator for a new one ran ok for three days drove to work yesterday came out at dinner time battery was flat been at work some five hours.going to and from work in the dark and only 15 mins drive. charged the battery last night left it on the drive all day and the battery was only .3 of a volt down  can any one help???

  My battery is running flat after 3-4 days. AA man has been out twice now, he has told me that it is the battery, however, having changed the battery, still getting the same problem. AA man states it the battery beacuse it fails a load test.

  Not exactly 4 wheel, but definately automotive related. I have been given a Optimate Battery charger to charge the battery on my CBR1000F. It has additional features to diagnose plate sulphation and automatically semi discharge/ recharge to keep the battery at 100% capacity if it is kept connected to the charger.

  I have the original ford battery in there right now.   3. How easy is it to change the battery on own? Its a smaller (than normal) battery.  4. And most importantly going by the readings above, do the battery ACTUALLY need changing :) ??

  Help!!   I'm having to disconnect the battery everytime I leave my car because instead of everything shutting down as it should my battery light stays on along with the centre dash.  If left, the battery drains.  I've checked the alternator and it seems to be charging the battery ok... any suggestions greatly recieved!!

  They also mentioned the switch should be closer to the battery, rather than inside the cab (cables around 2m but size/capacity was recommended by the supplier).  Don't want to damage my new battery, so should I switch the isolator to the positive circuit, or relocate it closer to the battery?

  I'm  looking to get a new battery for my focus saloon 1.8 petrol  (reg 2000) I know it  takes a calcium battery; but some batteries are not just calcium they are silver calcium.  Is there a difference or is it just labeling?
