Millions of Radio 2 listeners then heard the veteran presenter lash out at the scheme after he became stuck in a mile-long traffic jam on Marylebone Road, where cars have been reduced to a single lane in some places, to make way for the experimental bus lane. -
Citroen Grand C4 Picasso - Battery/connection issue? 28 Mar 2025 (Forum)
I have a 2016 Citroen Grand C4 Picasso diesel and today, I unlocked it with the key fob but the wing mirrors didn’t unfold. When I got into the car, it wouldn’t start and the main display for the radio etc was off. After some fiddling about, I pressed the button next to the display and the display came on and then I was able to start the car although a very brief message came up in red about the battery but it was so quick that I wasn't able to read it. -
Ban touch-screen controls in cars! 31 May 2023 (Forum)
I despair at the increasing trend of having touch-screen controls and feel that they are a safety risk. My older cars have physical buttons for everything (aircon, radio, demisters and so on). When I’m driving and want to operate any necessary control, such as the demister, I can feel for the button without having to take my eyes off the road. I can’t necessarily stop to operate a control, e.g. on a motorway with a sudden cold shower of rain will require me to change the heating control to stop the windscreen fogging up. -
Aygo review 23 Mar 2022 (Forum)
As a lover of small cars generally, I was mightily impressed with just how good modern ones are. This one had everything I could possibly need, air con, climate, dab radio, Bluetooth, Android pairing , reversing camera etc etc. The 3 cylinder engine pulled nicely, with a very agreeable sporty sound, nice slick gearbox, well damped ride, decent handling, safe rather than ultimately sporty. -
1994 Opel Astra Convertible 1.6 8v - Battery Died. Wont Start after Jumping 3 Apr 2016 (Forum)
It started fine earlier and I wanted to clean it out as previous owner had a dog and it was full of hair. no offence to anyone just wanted to clean it lol. had the ignition on for a bit of radio whilst doing so and didn't think about the battery like a fool. so anyway, when I went to start it to move it back on my drive, it cranked over and slowly died. put some jump leads from my van to the astra ( the right way) and it just cranks of absolutely fine but will not fire up. has anyone any ideas what might need resetting or something that could of tripped when the battery died. it just doesn't want to fire up at all but will crank over fine or is there a set procedure to starting after battery has died or been replaced? -
Dangerous Driving; Enquiery 6 Oct 2015 (Forum)
This was 9 days after completing a second speed awareness course. The officer was on his own but called in the incedent over his radio with the driver and car details, he said the driver would be expecting a court summons. A week later the employee said that the officer had called them up on the phone and said that he was not taking the case any further largely due to the fact that they had been polite and compliant. -
Toyota Avensis - visual reference indicator on fender / hood2 21 Mar 2013 (Forum)
Is there any similar device that I can use for this purpose, such as rear view mirrors on the edges of the hood, radio antennae, etc? Would fitting of such an object require either drilling or welding on the body? -
Ford Fiesta 1.3 (1995) - Power Failure in Ford Fiesta 9 Jan 2013 (Forum)
Last night whilst driving home, the car started to show signs of power failure again. My wiper blades slowed down, headlights dimmed and the radio switched off. What other issues can cause power failure as I am confident it is neither the alternator or the battery. A friend of mine says that I may have a problem with the Earth wire? -

Also when i revved it slighty splutterd then revved fine. So i thought better get this to a garage, so turned off all electrics (lights, radio, etc) which sorted out the crazy dials. As i set off i discovered the power steering wasn't working either but after a few miles started working again and the interior clock was back upto full illumination. -
