  Hi Friends I made an expensive mistake of buying a mazda 6 from Ebay few months back. Mazda 6, 2004 plate, manual, turbo diesel 1998 cc. The car has now run about 93000miles (I drove about 4500miles) now the engine has siezed. 1. Any Advice or contact information on where to get a new engine would be big favour. 2.

  I stopped and checked the oil level (after waiting the precribed 5 minutes in the manual) Oil was fine. restarted engine and got within 100 feet of home when dash lit up like a christmas tree and the engine cut out. I got the RAC to take it to local Mazda who have just reported: Engine siezed, oil pump problem £6000 please. Is this related in anyway to this thread and do I have any amunition to get this fixed by Mazda (preferably for nothing!) Many thanks David Hill.

  First post so please be gentle! HJ gave the new Mazda 2 a glowing road test report so I sent off for the brochure. Mazda also sent a glossy copy of the Autocar Road Test report which was great apart from a comment in their review of the car's braking ability:- "the 48.3m needed to stop from 70mph in the dry is a little worse than average, but the wet distance - a scary 73.7m - is poor."

  My mazda 323 TD runs really smoothly until I get to around 75/80MPH mark, car starts vibrating. What could it be? Is it tracking, balancing etc..? Please advise. Thanks

  The remote operation of SWMBO Mazda 323F ( 2001) door locks has ceased. A new keyfob battery does not help. Anything else I can try? -- I wasna fu but just had plenty.

  I've just bought a Mazda 323 TD and it seems the oil is leaking from the filler cap. What could be the problem, obviously besides replacing the cap? s

  Has anyone any thoughts on a 1.6 Mazda MX5 which occasionally misfires when restarted from hot and will not clear until a few miles have passed and then runs normally. It is fine from cold. I imagine it will have cooked the "cat". Thanks David

  Hi all, I do hope someone can help me as I feel like I'm about to be shafted by Mazda.  I purchased a second hand Mazda 6 2.0 TS Diesel in Sept 08.  It had around 20000 miles on it and a full service history (I was shown receipts to prove it although I now believe it to be non Mazda specialists but genuine Mazda parts) I was really happy and chuffed as it was a fantastic car - it never missed a beat.

  He investigated and also said the problem was with the injectors. He rang another diesel specialist who told him the Mazda 6 probably has denso injectors which can't be repair/reconditioned and will have to be replaced. Has anyone had a similar experience with a Mazda 6 or know anything about denso injectors?

  My GolfGTI-owning American lady friend is homing in on a Mazda 3 TS with 25,000 miles on it at a South London Mazda dealer. She has always fancied one of these and after driving it says she feels it's just the perfect car for her. The dealer is asking £6.7k with a year's full manufacturer warranty and all the usual dealer flimflam.

  I also note that the New 6 diesel engine is designated M-TDi. I seem to remember a different set of letters when I looked at the previous Mazda 6 a couple of years or so ago. Is it a new engine, or have they just rearranged the letters to look that way? Is it likely that the earlier problems have been sorted? I am looking for longevity with this purchase and it does concern me that people like "Screwloose" (who obviously has a lot of experience in this matter) advise "avoiding the Mazda diesel like the plague!!!!"

  Hi All,  I am currently looking for a second hand car. I am currently looking at a Ford Fiesta (2009), Petrol 1.4, 96CV and a Mazda 2 (2008), Petrol 1.5, 103CV.  I need a reliable, small car to drive to and from work daily. Once a year I'd like to be able to drive across France and Spain if possible. I'd like something that is reliable and can overtake without issues on the motorway.

  Advice needed.... Just bought used 2009 Mazda 6 Tamura yesterday from a dealership. test drove it ect... Felt fine. Got home, took a trip to work this morning and I found it cut out in neutral twice whilst stopped at lights. Drives fine but sometimes the smell off rotten egg comes n goes which I've only noticed today.

  Hi I have a mazda 6 diesel estate 2.0 and the other week the DPF light started flashing. drove it down the motorway as it says to burn off the diesel soot, still flashing. put some diesel partical filter cleaner in with diesel took it for a run, still flashing. took car to my local garage he changed oil, filter and fuel filter and plugged into computer not showing anything wrong.

  I've just read that mazda with their new 3, have a 2 litre, relatively low powered (114 bhp) motor as their cooking engine. This seems to be at odds with the small sized turbo's that just about everyone else seems to be going for.
