  My VR6 has finally given up on me. So looking to replace it with something nippy- well quite fast. It could be a vw or an audi or a mini i guess. 40mpg at least, 130bhp at least too. All for £10k Help!

  Obviously photos of damage have been taken, Audi UK say nothing to do with them since removed from franchised garage. Basically is there any failure mode other than cambelt that could cause this level of multi cylinder damage? is it conceivable that an audi dealership would switch a belt/retime an engine to hide a mistake in their work?

  Hi does anyone know how to remove the rearseats on an audi a6 1998 saloon? i need to take the carpet up but cant see any screw holes to pull the base of the seat up with. thanks in advance

  quick question - just taken the under body protective cover off my audi 1998 A6 1.8T to do an oil change for the 1st time. but cannot locate the sump to drain it. excuse my ignorance but can anybody help! thanks

  Hi, New to forum hoping someone could offer some advice, i have a Audi A3 which was recalled in September 2017 due to ABS Unit failures.  The previous owner took the vehicle in to audi and they performed a 45f5 ESC Control unit software update. The update was to give diagnostics on this particular fault ( insufficient PCU ground Connection ) i'm assuming there was not a issue with the grounding as the ABS Unit was not replaced at the time.

  The next time I brought it in (1600 miles after the oil consumption test) they refused to do anything, saying that this level of oil comsumption was normal in Audis, especially the A5. This is not the first Audi I have had and I disagree. I also think that this level of oil comsumption is not normal in any modern 2-year-old car with only 16,400 miles on the clock.

  I have an audi A3 which I bought new in July ´01 and so far it has just 15000km on the clock. I use my faithfull and hardworking MkII Golf for the city and the Audi rests most of the time inside the garage for small weekend trips.

He was a mechanic by trade and so everything has been kept to the highest standard, though the car hasn't run for approx 10 years but has been kept inside a garage through this period.

  A friend of mine is looking at a 2013 Audi A1 1.4TFSI Sportback at a car supermarket on Friday.  Claimed to be full service history, 1 owner etc. 44,000 miles. Is there any definitive way of telling if it's got a cam-chain or cambelt variant of the 1.4 motor, from looking in the engine bay, etc?

   So I've spoken to Audi about ending the lease early, and they say to exit the lease I must pay £8,300-Ouch!... If I have to pay this to hand back the car then OK, but I don't honestly know if I have any other legal options - I don't expect Audi to tell me if I do.

  Hi, I recently found a very good looking and mint Audi A4 2.0 Petrol Automatic for sale with very low mileage and a great price. Since there is only 2.0 badging on the back I'm assuming it's the 131 PS version. However, I can't seem to find any information on it online.

    It's like the one in the second picture down on this page:   http://glassmagazine.com/article/auto/2011-audi-a4-117785   It's currently dangling by the wire that I assume is related to the auto dim thing that I never use.  Seen some pages that seem to indicate I should remove the bit that sits over the wire but to be honest can't work out how to even do that without snapping it.

  i recently bought an audi a3 2002 1.9 TDI with no warranty and it drove fine no problems. however when i got to below a quarter of tank of fuel the ESP light came on and at first i thought the wheels where spinning but then i started to lose power and when i hard acclerate the whole car shakes quite bad when in idle it sits rumbling and shaking. i put more fuel in and it stopped. then it happened again when i got to below a quarter again but this time i put more fuel in and it keeps doing it the car used to be quite nippy but now its more like a 1.2 than a 1.9TDI does any one have any ideas on what going on?

  Bought said car 2 months ago and am a first time Audi owner and experienced home mechanic. Had occasion to use rear fog lights on mototrway recently and was constantly flashed at from following cars. On investigation it turns out that my rear fog light or lights were not working although tell-tale indicator on switch showed red.
