Renault Clio III - Brakes squealing but not worn 17 Sep 2019 (Forum)
My Clio III has started squealing under light brake pressure. The front discs and pads were last done in Feb 2018 and still have plenty of life in them, and the rear discs and pads were done in Feb this year. I first noticed the squeal shortly after the rear brakes were done, but it was only once in a while so I thought they probably just needed to bed in. -
BMW 3 Series E46 - Advice on MOT history and other bits pls 1 Apr 2019 (Forum)
It's failed its MOT 5 times in last 13 years mainly for tyres, colour of indicator lenses, inefficient rear parking brakes, suspension arms have slight play, so not too bad, opinions pls.. Only 22000 miles in last 9 years, things that bother me Current MOT has advisories for front pads and corroded brake pipe, May '17 failed MOT for corroded brake pipe, not mentioned on '18 MOT but Feb this year advisory for brake line covered in grease or some other material. -
Honda Jazz - Why the tyre at near-side kerb makes noise? 8 Mar 2019 (Forum)
I drive Honda Jazz 2010 model semi-automatic. When I stop at a road with slope (hilly), I apply my parking brake and switch my gear from A1 (automatic 1st gear) to N (Neutral). When I am about to begin driving, I do the following steps: Press the car brake pedal, switch the gear from N to A1. -

Ford Fiesta 1.4, 59 plate - Brake fluid level following disc and pad change. 7 Nov 2014 (Forum)
I opened the bleed screw, but probably not enough to release all the displaced fluid. After taking the car for a test drive--the braking was fine--I checked and found that the master cylinder was so full that fluid was actually leaking from the cap. I carefully removed excess fluid down to the MAX level, but my question is this: can temporarily overpressurising the system in this way do any lasting harm? -
Audi A6 avant 2002 - Warnong lights 18 Aug 2014 (Forum)
I have owned the car from new ,97,000 miles. the latest fault came out the blue. on starting the car no warning light as you would expect. after a few moments the engine glow plug waring light starts to flash. if I then apply the brakes even though I am stationary no other light comes on, but when I release the brakes the esp and abs warning lights come on. If I drive everything works perfectly and engine performs well and brakes are perfect then the red brake warning lights and bleeps although everthing works ok. when I first start the car the diagnostic says all OK. -
Outlander 2 - Brake wear - pads vs discs 22 Jun 2014 (Forum)
Given that the wear allowance is only 1.6mm I'll change those too. The front brakes on this car have always made far more dust than the CRV I had last (pads lasted three times as long, discs fine). I can only put it down to the pad material. -

However the next morning the brake lights were on. They went off when the car was started, moved 3 feet, and stopped and all seemed ok for the rest of the day. -
