MK5 Golf - 1.9 tdi sounds really rough start from cold 13 May 2016 (Forum)
I then went to rev it and it sounded normal again, I took it out for a spin and just drove like it normally did. The car has been sitting in my garage for a few days so I put it down to the battery being weak, but just got it plugged it and all of the glow plugs had indicated a fault. Has anybody encountered this problem before? Could it be down to a weak battery/glow plugs or could it be another issue?? -

Ford fiesta 1.3 1998 5 speed - Ford manual gear box 3 vertical mounting bolts 17 Dec 2015 (Forum)
Hello I have just bought a ford fiesta 1998 and I am very happy with it but I discovered under the boney just under the battery on top of the small part of the gear box I can see three bolt holes where I believe the top of the gearbox mounts to the engine bay and where these three holes are there are two studs with nuts on them but the other stud and bolt is missing and the last owner believed it wud be a great idea to stick a sharpie felt pen in the hole which I removed basically I would like someone to tell me what these studs are and if I can replace them these studs point vertical a little under the battery coming off the gearbox case. -

zafira 2004 gas petrol duel fuel - zafira 2004 wont start 23 Nov 2014 (Forum)
Today it wont start. the engine is not trying to tick over. when u turn the key there is nothing apart from the time display going out. The dashboard lights which remain on are the oil, battery, handbrake and engine light and the petrol light flashes even though my wife put £10 in on friday and done about 6 miles since. My initial thought was the battery but the head lights seem bright and the electric windows go up and down with no loss of speed. -

Vehicle laid up over Xmas and New Year (3months) unfortunately battery was flat when we went to restart the car, recharged battery and everything was back to normal except the alarm which goes off everytime we lock the vehicle. Ford focus 2007 - Loss of power when braking 14 Dec 2011 (Forum)
Some times the revs will drop and the car will shudder slightly (almost as if the clutch isn't all the way down, when it is), sometimes the revs will drop and the battery light will flash on, and on a few occasions the revs have dropped and engine has completely cut out. Ford garage can't find any faults with it and haven't been able to replicate the fault. I managed to film the battery light flashing on and revs dropping which I showed them as evidence. -
Ford Escort 1.8 diesel van - Ford Escort Immobiliser 20 Nov 2011 (Forum)
Last weekend I did the same thing to have a look at the unit, put it back together and there were no problems. My problem is that now the van wont start. I checked the battery with a multi meter, thats fine. All the lights come on on the dash and everything but the motor wont turn over at all. The key moves all the way into position. I suspect that the problem is something to do with the immobiliser..... -

Peugeot 307 SW - Starting problem 15 Dec 2010 (Forum)
I have taken the car back to Peugeot who have run a diagnostic and the want me to spend Euros (i live in France) 850 for a new battery (even though I have already just done this) and an Vanne EGA (some sort of valve?), I don't believe they have found the problem as it is so intermittent and I will be wasting my money. Anyone else had a problem like this and found a solution?? -
