  The last couple of times I have started it the clock has reset it'self to 00.00 The car starts OK although its a little grudging in the cold weather. Could it be excessive drain on the battery (Still original one)?

  I bought a 65 plate Nissan Pulsar from a well known national dealer in November. I’ve had no end of issues with it - stop/start system fault which they claim is caused by the battery despite my having the battery replaced, slack seatbelts, violent vibration when accelerating over 60mph, a key system fault and the car rolling when the handbrake is on/ handbrake getting stuck if you pull it up too far.

    £20 for plugs and £4 for a long reach socket plus 2 hours of my time. Awfully cramped and fiddly in that engine bay Car still difficult to start so a new battery was put in and it starts  just like new Last three fuel changes needed car to get a jump start,  Maybe with new battery it will pull the fuel through and I wont need a tow Hope this helps as this problem had annoyed me for so long

  I have just acquired a 2002 peugeot 406 2.0 hdi 90 bhp siemens model. I put a brand new battery on and refurbished alternator as they were both suspect anyway when I bought it. However it drains the battery when stood. It did before replacing parts and after so not the new parts. I have had a meter inline wth the battery when everything locked and off etc, it shows a constant drain of 0.16 amp.

  hi guys i have a 2000, 3.3l petrol auto Voyager. Recently the battery drained and I had to jump start the car, but wasn't able to run the car long enough for a decent charge, so later that day I removed the battery and put it on charge. My little charger took three days to charge it fully.

  After not using the car for about ten days it wouldn't start so I called the AA - they diagnosed a faulty battery (only one year old) and started the car so I could take it back to Quick Fit under guarantee.   After breaking my journey, the car stalled backing out of the parking and I was unable to restart it.  It turned over fine (almost new battery) but showed little interest in firing. I left the car for about 90 minutes but could not restart it, so disconnected the battery for a few minutes to see if that would help.  After several attempts, the car eventually fired but the idle speed gradually increased over about 10 seconds until it reached 4,500 rpm, when I turned the ignition off.
