Nissan Sunny (1986 - 1991) - 1.4 12V H/B loss of power/revs on acceleration 17 Sep 2007 (Forum)
OK, coil gives correct resistances, diz cap looks OK (I think), leads seem OK too. Was serviced recently with new fuel filter, air filter, plugs, valve adjustment, oil change. Seemed better for a while now back to square 1. Son says better in the wet. Redex in tank and direct into carb. - no difference. I presume it's a fuel side problem? -

15p Litre Biodiesel Made from Cats 13 Aug 2006 (Forum)
Reuters: Inventor turns dead cats into diesel A German inventor says he's found a way to make cheap diesel fuel out of dead cats. Dr Christian Koch, 55, from Kleinhartmannsdorf, said his method uses old tyres, weeds and animal cadavers. They are heated up to 300 Celsius to filter out hydrocarbon which is then turned into diesel by a catalytic converter. -

My 95 Mondeo TD recently had problems with an air leak in the fuel system which meant it had starting problems and therefore the starter motor and battery took a hammering, this is now fixed thanks to suggestions from this forum :-) thanks (fuel primer diaphram leak) and has been working fine for 2 wks. -
Mk2 Mondeo front wishbone size? 10 Jan 2006 (Forum)
Hey all, I don't know if they need replacing or not but given the reasonably low cost of doing so I thought it would be prudent to replace both front wishbones, including bushes, on my 1999 Mk2 Ford Mondeo 2.0. I have found a source for the wishbones, but I am given two choices of size: w/FUEL INJ SAL,EST,HATCH FITTED w/54mm FRONT WISHBONE BUSH w/FUEL INJ SAL,EST,HATCH FITTED w/47mm FRONT WISHBONE BUSH I have no idea which my car has, all other sources for this part don't make any mention of two different types, and nobody on MEG knows either. -
C5 2.2 HDI uneven tickover 29 Oct 2005 (Forum)
I did have to have the fuel additive replenished ahead of time and I am wondering if the same will apply to the particle filter, which is due for replacing at 50k miles. -
Broken motorbike 7 May 2005 (Forum)
Subsequent investigation has proved sparking at all 4 plugs when hitting the starter so it appears that the colis, leads and plugs are fine. However the fuel system draws fuel thru the fuelcock by vacumn action so apart from a hole in the hose what would cause a vacumn to fail. Had all 4 carbs balanced last saturday, and it was fine this monday, and when warmed up pulls like the "Flying Scotsman". -
More 406 coupe electrical Q's 1 Dec 2004 (Forum)

Sorry about all the questions but i'm fairley new to Peugeots and only have very basic mechanical skills. Thanks Guys. MM -
Audi A4 1.6 unable to fill tank past 3/4 11 Nov 2004 (Forum)
I've left it for a minute and then try and insert some more petrol. I can put another litre in and then it stops because the fuel reaches the nozzle and therefore stops. I presume I can keep continuing like this but don't want to hang around a petrol station for half an hour doing it. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. -

HMC&E - An out of control private army?? 21 Nov 2003 (Forum)
Anyone had any dealings with HMC&E regards illegal fuel? Would be interested to hear about your experiences. Was "done" this time last year for having red diesel in the running tank of my car. I paid 70p per litre for what I believed should have been clear diesel. -
Diesel or petrol 29 Oct 2003 (Forum)
Do diesels require services more often? Does the cost of maintenance outweigh any benefit in fuel consumption? Just trying to get some answers to common questions I guess. Thx in advance. S. -
Audi 100 stalling 6 Sep 2001 (Forum)
The car has been to numerous garages and engine specialists but no problems have been identified with the electronic management system even with sophisticated diaogostic equiptment. New fuel pump and fuel filter have not effected a cure. The car is not garaged but the problem does not seem to be influenced by the weather. -
Wrong oil again!! 5 Mar 2001 (Forum)
This caused the hydraulic lifters to jack open the valves causing loss of compression. This was aggravated by using supermarket fuel which I suspect was gumming up the valves. I flushed the engine and refilled with a semi-synthetic 5W/30 finished off with a dose of fuel treatment in the tank and all now seems to be improving. I asked why he used that particular oil: "all oil is the same" was the reply. -
