  • BMW i3 - Unexpected, very powerful, acceleration surge BMW 18 Aug 2017 (Forum)
We understand we were one of the first buyers of this updated i3 in the U.K.   Since then, in January 2017 (my partner driving) and again in April 2017 (when I was driving) we have had two accidents, both caused by a sudden unexpected, very powerful, acceleration surge.   We are interested to know whether any other i3 owners have experienced a similar event and what the outcomes were.
  • Range Rover - Toddler killed by runaway car 10 Aug 2017 (Forum)
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-4778190/Car-experts-investigate-Range-Rover-toddler-dies.html Strange case, it is reported that  'It appears that an unattended Range Rover has rolled off the driveway in Beechwood Drive. The vehicle was left insecure, with the automatic transmission in park with the handbrake fully applied. It gained momentum down the drive where it went across the road and mounted the footpath opposite and hit the wall' Is this in any way possible?
  • Nissan Qashqai - Reapplying after disqualification 17 Jun 2017 (Forum)
Hi, this is my first time posting here and I was hoping someone would be able to help me. I was disqualified from driving in 2012 for totting up 12 points in 2 years. When my ban was over I didn't reapply for my driving license. Can I just fill in the form now to reapply or do I need to retake my test because it has been so long since I last held my valid license?
  • Mazda 3 2014 Sport Nav - Clutch Issue 3 Mar 2017 (Forum)
Evening all, Letting out the clutch when in 1st and changing to 2nd gear rarely results in a smooth uptake of drive (car jerks backwards and forwards) and I find that I really have to concentrate to get anywhere near a decent shift; other gear changes are fine. I am an experienced driver and haven't had this with other cars that I have had, so don't think the issue is my driving style!
  • Merc E200cdi Auto 2014 - Engine Shudder at idle 23 Jan 2017 (Forum)
It also feels like the engine is kicking on an engine mount as you can feel the little jolt whilst sitting in the car. Seems fine when warm and car drives perfectly. I should also say this is an Automatic and this shudder happens when sitting at traffic lights in Drive (D). Appreciate any thoughts or things to check. Thanks Matt

  • Saab 93 Vector - Advice needed 1 May 2015 (Forum)
I have a 2006 Saab 92 2.0 Vector and has been on my drive for the last 3 months with the front tires just about flat, i managed to pump them up but one of them has a flat spot, after driving it for about 10 miles the flat spot noise seems to have subsided, the only issue i have now is that when i apply the brake i get the same kind of noise as the flat spot (front left n/s brake)   Any ideas as to why it could be?
  • N/A - Parking in London near A12, possibly Gants Hill. 8 Apr 2015 (Forum)
We've been invited to a friends flat in Docklands to see the Marathon on 26th April and I've been looking at travel options from Ipswich. The train is fairly expensive and it would be cheaper to drive in and park as near as possible and use public transport for the last leg. Many years ago we used to park at Gants Hill but when I go on Streetview the area all looks a bit different and unfamiliar and I'm wondering if anyone in East Anglia can suggest the best drive ->park -> public transport options?
  • Peugeot expert van 1.9 D 70 - Engine management light 23 Jul 2014 (Forum)
Sometimes this only happens for a few seconds, other time it goes on for about a week and stops. After this the van drives fine for a month or more and then it happens again. I think it happens more often in wet weather if driving through deep puddles. It has been looked at by 3 garages and they have said MAF sensor, faulty wiring or high pressure diesel pump.
  • Broken Leg 24 Jun 2014 (Forum)
Do I need to tell my insurance company about breaking my leg, taking into account that I am  not going to drive until I am 100% back to normal. The Orthopaedic Consultant did say that I could drive short distances on quiet roads but this sounds too ambiguous for me and I am just going to wait until I'm completely clear.

My V70 Cross Country All Wheel Drive is playing up, when driving a buzzing ABS noise comes from the pedal area without even touching it, if you brake lightly the ABS activates every time and makes the pedal vibrate and click as if ABS is needed, which it is not!
