• Ford Mondeo Estate - Dipped beam circuit 1 May 2014 (Forum)
  Unfortunately I don't have a manual/circuit diagram. There's a pair of 7.5a fuses in the fuse panel adjacent to the battery that have the 'headlight drawing' next to them. However, they both meter fine. Can anyone help with wiring diagram/fuses/relays for this b***** ? Many thanks...............ebt

  Had problem with alarm and dead bolts - all ok now but we cannot unlock the tailgate. Key will not turn - used to with the whir of the gears within. Even when battery flat we could turn the key, now we cannot. How can I get it unlocked and is there any access from inside to pull the lock rod to get the door open (asked on main page, now found this forum - thanks) Lawrence M907JPL

  I recently had to disconnect my battery and as a result i have lost the radio requiring a code. I have got the seriel number as SJH DSP 643 03 255 (by pressing 1 and 6 and the same time) however i seem to be able to only get the code for M or V serial numbers online.

  Just changed both injectors, engine started, then coded injectors and engine hasn't started since? good fuel pressure on cranking, new battery just wont fire. on easy start just starts then cuts out a second later.. Please help!!

  I bought a great little fiesta van last week everything worked perfect , but the old owner couldn't remember when it was last services , piece of mind told me to get it serviced and that's all great , but the garage must have disconnected my battery and now I've lost my radio , need a code but there's not one in my paperwork can someone please help M045710 is the serial number , any help much appreciated

  I have a pug 406 '03 plate which starts fine in warmer weather, but is slow to start when temperatures get towards freezing.The battery is full of life so ok there. The engine turns over without issue but is just slow to fire, maybe 5-6 seconds, sometimes longer. My wife's car is a Citroen with the same HDI engine and fires within 2 seconds every time no matter how cold.

  Never any problems, now suddenly occasionally won't start, but left for a few minutes will.  It's in the garage so not exceptionally cold or damp. Battery's ok, fuel pump's pumping I can hear it. The engine management light stays on then the "Stop " light flashes, other electrics work. I can't hear the solenoid cutting in. A post elsewhere on the net says some of them needed a startet motor & ignition modification.

  I have a 2002 Ford Focus 1.6 Zetec (petrol) - never had any problems until I went to open the car, the central locking kept making a continous locking sound, the car would not start, turn over, not even any lights on the dashboard and the clock appeared to have reset itself. Since then I have charged the battery and tried to start the car without any luck, now when im trying to start the car the car tried to lock itself continously.    Any ideas?

  Hi I have a 57 Plate Focus , I did not use my car for a number of weeks and now find that the remote does not work.The key will start the car OK . I changed the fob battery and tried to reprogram as per the manual supplied The system emits a beep to show that it is in the programming mode but does not emit a further beep when I press a button on the remote as it should.

  For about a year, the passenger door has very occasionally not unlocked with the key fob. The key fob had its first replacement battery a couple of months ago. Could you please give me some idea of the likely problem.

  I have just changed the alternator on my 806, after refitting and charging the battery I managed to get the car started [after a few alarm/immob issues!] I switched the car off ok, then restarted to ensure it would, but now it wont switch off, I have to stall it. Anyone had similar problems?

  Car lost all power when i approached rouabout, i was in 2nd gear the clutch was down, the battery light was flashing.   i do not know if this is related but when im driving, sometimes when i put the clutch down to change gear the revs shoot up to 3000 when im not even touching the gas ????

  On a 2 mile journey into my local town I can easily stop 10 to 15 times,  more during rush hour. It seems to me that there is considerable extra wear and tear on the starter motor, battery, flywheel gear ring, snatch on the cam belt/chain drive and many other systems which would be better contiuing to run smoothly rather than stopping and starting many times. I doubt the carbon savings are worth it from a cost and inconvenience point of view.

  how u all can help.i have replaced battery in my focus key fob and gone thru the re program sequence(turn from pos I TO II 4 times then press again.the boot button works ok but the doors wont lock.they try to lock but unlock straight away.the front door wont lock at all.when i manually lock the front door then use the fob it will lock and unlock the passenger doors but not the front,here's hoping u can help :))

  In the past few days my alarm fob has stopped working, and when I unlock the car the alarm sounds until I turn the key in the ignition. Is this easy to fix? I've replaced the batteries in the fob, but it hasnt made any difference. Any advice would be appreciated, both by me and my neighbours, who I wake up at 5am every morning when I unlock the car!   Hello, Recently i have been having problems with the lights on the dash board of my Zafira, it is a rather funny situation because other lights seem to be working fine (e.g. the gear box lights and surounding the sterio). My thinking was that is was to do with the battery, soo i replaced it with a new one and yet the lights are still rather dull on the display. I really have no idea to the solution and was wondering if it was a loose wire? Any help on this matter would be very much appreciated.

  Hi, i have a misfire at 1500-2000 rpm, and car cuts out sometimes while driving, had fault codes read, they are: p0251-p2291-p1664-p1211, some people say that this is pump failure, then changed pump, and it still happens,i have secondhand pump to fit, but need to make sure that this will be a cure, my car is mondeo tdci 02, it is also hard to start in mornings, would having duff battery cause this?

  I disconnected the wire to the pads and cleaned it. But the warning light stayed on. Do i need to disconnect the battery to reset this. Thanks in advance. Sparky 100.

  The car starts immediately on jump leads and has no problems starting thereafter and has no problem starting the next day on a cold engine. Any idea where to start first? The battery seems to charge ok; unless something is draining it during the drive??? Help.
