• Vauxhall Crossland X 2020 - Car Intermittently Not Starting 15 Dec 2023 (Forum)
  The starter motor has been changed and the ECU has been investigated and found to be fine. I checked the battery and it showed 12.47V. When attempting to turn the engine over, it just makes the door-lights for the windows turn off, and it requires a bump start to get it moving. Once I get the car home, it turns over every time.

    Presumably other emissions other than carbon would be ""clean" ?    It is the view of many that battery is not practical for a large percentage of consumers so it will be interesting to see what the EU and for that matter the rest of the world come up with.

What’s more, 6,000 US gallons or 22,000 litres are far from the highest seen in a Tesla incident.   Just something to think about if you are thinking of getting one, thiis is something the dealers will NOT TELL you, and even if they are right and it is 1 in a million chance, would the stats mean anything at all to you if someone you loved was in the car at the time.

  I would like to purchase a reliable hatchback and I was considering a battery owned Renault Zoe, but do you agree correct a used Yaris will hold it's value better?  If it's a Yaris are there any models more suitable than others?  The car is being used for school runs and drop offs, about 7000 per annum mileage, 5 door, A.C would be a nice to have.

  She probably only covers a couple thousand miles a year as it's a secondary car to us really. The 206 has come unreliable as the battery keeps dying if we don't run it for a week and she's always liked Fiesta's and this Titanium looks amazing in the hot magenta but obviously want to make sure it's right.   Hi, my car failed to restart after parking. I was helped by a person with jump leads, and the next day following the fitting of a new battery and new ignition switch the problem still persists Intermittently. The main dealer checked it for four hours but the diagnostics could not find a fault. It's 3 years old and done 47,000 miles (a driving school car ).

  We have a 2009 Focus, the battery went flat in one of the remotes, we replaced it now the car won't recognise the fob. Checked the ops manual it describes in great detail how to do it by putting the key in the ignition and turning it on 6 or 8 times.

  Hi on my Vectra Sri cdti on 2007 plate I have had battery light on while I was driving and stayed on I thought I would check codes just in case and came up with P0621 generator lamp control circuit malfunction , thought it might be alternator checked voltage was 12.5 v with engine off and 13.5 v engine running put lights on and didn't change , revved engine and did not change could it be alternator also is the 150 alternator same as 120 engine alternator thanks

  Nuisance isn’t it, when you replace a battery and you then discover you don’t have the code to get the radio to work again! It’s a 2007 s max titanium don’t know if you require the ref but here it is NU57 OHO It drives me nuts driving with the tremolos I.e Silence is golden as it’s all I can hear!

  My gfs car has stoped working, it wont start, shes only had it for 2 months, its had 2 new batteries, first issue she had was sometimes when you took the key out the car stays on 2nd issue was the passanger seat belt warning light comes on when no one is sitting there, then the car wont start, took it to a garage they said it could be the ECU so it got sent off to be checked, it came back and it was fine, they have done loads of scans but cant find the fault???

  I have tried re-syncing. Did work once, then again nothing. I have ordered repair kit for fob. I think the battery is weak. LED appears faint.  I take it the 2003 Astra has an audible car alarm ? Can you activate it from the car key ? (not the wireless fob) only just got the Astra. I not familiar with these make/models   thanks

  I've double and triple checked everything and everything is nice and tight and in place. I've reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery for an hour but this hasn't changed anything only my bad for forgetting to set the automatic windows back up...ooops. Can anybody help?

  I left my stupid lights on by accident and the battery died, so I had to jumpstart it with my dad's car. Now the radio, aux, and all the others are gone. There's no light or anything, it isn't asking for the code as well. How do I fix this? I just got the car a month ago, I don't even know the serial for the radio unit so I can't get the code (if that was to solve it).

  I have tried many forums and even phoned Honda BUT can anyone tell me where the filler plug is on a 2008 manual 6 speed Honda crv ex i-cdti ? I have found the drain plug and have had a few suggestions re the filler plug is " under the battery ". " under the air filter " but nothing concrete..A diagram or photo would help.Thanks in advance I am at my Witt's end Honest!!!!!!

  If I try locking it from the drivers door, it does it very slowly and quietly (sounds like old Walkmans who's battery was failing). The passenger door just locks and reopens immediately, like one of the doors has been left open, and again it's very quiet and slow. Any ideas/ advice/ solutions greatly received Thanks in advance.

  I've replaced the switch on the pedal cluster with a brand new unit and also the rotary switch on the gearbox but the problem still exists. If I disconnect the battery for 24 hours or more, the problem seems to fix itself but soon returns leading me to think I have an ECM problem. If I replace the ECM with a second hand unit, do I also need the key and barrel from the donor car?

  Hi all, Car is back from the garage today and the radio doesn't want to work now. The battery has been disconnected as the time on the dash seems to have reset itself. Radio turns on and off ok, but doesn't display anything. No code, no warning, nothing.   Pressing some of the numbers results in a faint beep but can't seem to get it to show code, can't find anything in the manual either.

  Upon inspection after opening the tailgate I discovered the wiring loom had some broken wires,my question is it an easy job to cut back the exposed wires and join up again also will I have to disconnect the battery before tackling the job. Thanks for any advise Adrian Fisher.
