  Hi, Bit of advice please, I had the air con on the other day, when all of a sudden there was a noise like gas escaping, a funny smell and the air con now only blows hot. I am going to take it somewhere next week, but any ideas what is wrong and what sort or bill i could be expecting.

  A friend of mine disconnected the motor and tried a lower amp fuse in and, as that didn't blow, concluded that the motor is fine..... there was however smoke coming out of the vents! Does that prove anything?! Anyone here into Peugeot wiring? The 306 is the Meridian which has air con. Thanks in advance

  Hi Guys, My Daughter has an '02 Corsa 1.2 which is immaculate. However, she's asked me how easy it would be to fit Air Con to the vehicle. I've thought of getting the stuff off a scrappie but does anyone know if the heater is different? Anyone out there done this before? I can do all the work myself but would like to hear from anyone whose either done this before or looked into doing it.

  Just something I've noticed as the weather has got damp and cooler. The Mondeo's demister is absolutey superb if I use the air-con, the car being driveable even on a cold start within about 10-15 seconds. Trouble is, when I then turn off the air-con, the car slowly mists up again (over the space of 5 minutes or so), regardless of blower setting, temperature or air direction.

  Out of curiosity I scanned the rest of the heater and came up with 00926 terminal 30, 01189 position motor for air distribution front, and 01271 motor for temperature flap-v68. The air con doesnt work and hasnt for a couple of years, which i was going to have regassed this week, but every thing else appears to, air distribution dial sends air to correct places, temperature control changes from hot to cold as expected, and front and rear fans work at correct speeds.

  Having taken my Audi A4 1.8se estate to the garage to have a new Air Con motor fitted, i was informed that there were numerous falts found on the the system!!!!! 1) 00603 FOOTWELL/DEFROSTER FLAP MOTOR-V85 BLOCKED OR NO VOLTAGE. 2) 01271 TEMP-REGULATER FLAP MOTOR-V68 BLOCKED OR NO VOLTAGE. 3) 01272 CENTRAL AIR FLAP MOTOR-V70 BLOCKED OR NO VOLTAGE. 4) FRESH AIR BLOWER-V2 DEVIATION FROM DESIRED VALUE.

  Wonder if anyone might be able to help. I haven't really used my air con on my Primera (1997 2:0 petrol)for the last few months and now it doesn't work at all. When you press the switch the light comes on but there is no clunk from the engine/increase in revs. I checked the relay which didn't appear to be doing anything, and so with the air con switch pressed, bridged the terminals that it switches.

  My air con on the modeo (2001 petrol) only works for a few minutes before blowing warm wet air into the car. On cool days the air con works for ages, on hot humid days it stops very quickly. My Haines manual says to check that the evaporator drain is clear but doesn't say where it is.

  I have been pleased with this car so far. I regassed the air con at 50 000 miles and all was ok. I noticed that it was not working very well a few weeks ago and had it re gassed at a ford main dealer. It made no difference. I have now done 100 000 miles The air con still works but is not very cold.

  My 2004 1.9dci has been returning poor mpg for a few weeks. Couldn't find problem so took it to local Renault dealer. They say its a faulty "Air compressor sensor". They say that I need to replace this sensor and have air con re gassed in the process. Cost of £320. Is there any fuse I could take out to stop this happening and just live without the air con?

  I drive an Ignis Sport 04 (April 2004 -25,000 mls), and I noticed today that my Air Con was not cooling the car at all, it seems to have stopped giving out cold air. In fact, it seems to have been gradual because it has not been giving out cold air in the past 3 weeks or so. I do not drive the car every day, but I am careful to use the A/C every week at least to make sure that it is kept lubricated.
