  Family friend has the following problem - pasted from their email. 2004 Citroen Berlingo diesel 1995 cc HDI 20,000 miles has once blown the oil filler cap off, and repeatedly partly blows the dip stick out of its socket, suggesting build up of crankcase pressure. Citroen service deny there is a problem and maintain I am not replacing the dip stick correctly.

  My local franchise dealer says that it is caused by deformed rear axle(s) and is a known problem with C5s (yet another one !). They have applied to Citroen to relace the axle(s) under warranty and have also asked Citroen to cover the cost of replacement tyres. Does anyone know about this problem ? citmad

  On a journey on Wednesday the car became completely undriveable, I called out Citroen Assist (RAC) who diagnosed the flat spot, and they towed the car to the nearest Citroen dealer, which happens to be the same one I bought the car from. Citroen Assist gave me a hire car. The Citroen dealer called me on Thursday to say there are "absolutely no faults" with the car, despite the RAC man confirming the flat spot to them.

  Hand brake lever is loose at the top part and need to get to the spring to adjust. Most car have a screw you take off and the sleeve comes off but the 2006 Citroen C5 doesn't seem to have one. Anybody knows how? Thanks Tony

  My apologies if this has been already mentioned, but I'm very surprised that Citroen advertise the new C5 as being "unmistakeably German". Whatever happened to French national pride and patriotism? I'd be appalled if any British manufacturer advertised one of its products in the manner.
