  Hi, Yesterday, I was driving at about 20mph on the near side of a suburban main road in bright daylight when a K-reg Audi seemingly waiting on the offside to join the traffic suddenly turned left sideways just eight or nine yards in front of me and stopped. No way to avoid him. I applied full ABS brakes but just slightly hit his rear nearside.

  She might need to carry 2 kids from time to time so a 2 seater is out, but a stylish coupe maybe around the 6 or 7K mark sounds just the ticket. We had thought of: Hyundai Coupe: Plus points: looks/cost Negatives: cheapo interior Audi TT: Plus points it's an Audi TT Negatives: Space in the rear/have to buy an older one for the price/the thought of swmbo running about in a car with 180 or goodness help us 225 bhp scares me frankly..!

  I was waiting at traffic lights on London's North Circular ( NCR ) at the end of August in broad dry daylight when a car smacked into my off - side . I came out, remarkably calm, to be confronted by a the driver in a Y reg British reg Audi . She started screaming that it was my fault , then crying hysterically. The 2 blokes in the back seat were actually civilised and embarrassed . One claimed to be her boyfriend , though he looked like her son .

  Audi A6 3 litre -230 Bhp , has a manual option ,perhaps handling may not be as class leading as the BMW , however as this has 4 wheel drive, this may not be as significant. Prefer a manual stick, although wouldn't mind an auto..

  Hi all, My dad is to sell his two beloved cars due to company car arrival They are 1. Audi A4 1.8 'P' Reg 122K miles This car is Bergundy Red, VGC bodywork wise. Has the odd stone chip and parking dent but nothing noticble to the eye. Front bumper has a several small paint peels about size of a penny.

  I'm not sure whether MB extended this beyond the original deadline of 31 March. Anyway it was £100 pm cheaper than the Audi, but there's no doubt that the Audi (A4 Avant 2.5 TDI) was worth it.

  As I'm approaching the vehicle in front of me I check my mirrors to see if it's safe to overtake and I see the same Audi from earlier about to overtake me. The driver, presumably in recognition of my move earlier, flashes me out into the second lane even before I've began to signal, allowing me to overtake the vehicle in front without having to slow.

  The real problems are the drivers under 25 who drive as if all the demons of hell are chasing them, have little or no respect for other road users and mainly drive Audis or older BMWs. One only has to drive along any UK motorway to see those driving at far above the speed limit and very few if any are elderly. The older drivers may be a little slower but with town speed limits of 20mph they are the only ones who tend to obey.

  Apart from new pads front and back don’t think much has been done for four years apart from the MOT. Most grateful for your views but would need to dispense with my beloved 2003 Audi A4 1.9 Tdi which has no aircon but a full mot , which is worthless.

  Hi all. Wondering if you can help me out? I've been looking at buying an Audi A3 S-Line and found one this morning on the car-unlimited.com website. This company appears to buy repossessed cars and then sell them on. According to their website, the buyer reserves a vehicle online, then the car is delivered to their home address and is given 3 days to decide if they want to keep the vehicle, at which point payment is made.

  But I am looking for a comfortable diesel car with no DPF .. After driving my partners Peugeot 207SW with 165 tyres i realised how uncomfortable my Audi A4 is and I long for a car which can take all the crashing and banging which we experience on todays British roads. My shortlist would be a Mk1 Superb. Peugeot 207SW Diesel(but are these the diesels of doom?)

  Apparently these MB models are not affected by the recent controversy. As regards petrol cars the Ford Ka and Fiat 500X and Audi Q2 top the list as the most polluting while naturally the Prius and CHR hybrids are the cleanest.

  I'm currently the owner of a VW Polo and having been in numerous BMWs and a few Mercedes, I'm left wondering what the appeal of up market cars is, apart from more power from the engine. A colleagues Jaguar XJ was no quieter or smoother than a decent VW, Audi or similar, and the interior seemed modest apart from some nice walnut veneer. Are they better engineered under the shell? I know the Range Rover is better than most competitors off road, but few owners go off road, apart from parking on the kerb, or in a field for a car boot sale.

  Mercedes A-class - the old upright one could never have achieved this position, not much of a looker, again IMO 10. Audi A3 - yawn

  Needless to say the recommended models are mainly Japanese, Honda Toyota Mazda and Subaru. German cars feature too in particular Audi and to a lesser extent BMW but very few Mercedes make the grade. No mention of French cars as they are not imported as possibly they won't stand up to the lemon laws, and one Italian small car the Fiat 500 which is considered to have poor reliability.

  Hi, I'm looking to exchange my Honda Civic 62 for something a bit more sporty.  The 2012 BMW 3 Series or Audi A4  have caught my eye and aren't too bad on the wallet.  Any thoughts on which would be the better option? Features, reliability etc.  I do city driving probably 85-90% of the time so thinking petrol may be the better option.
