  • Small Automatic Cars 30 Sep 2005 (Forum)
My daughter has had an operation on her left leg and now finds it difficult to use the clutch during a long drive. So she is looking for an Automatic small car. Her previous cars were both Pug 206`s. She would like a change of style from these, but as we are not very knowledgable on the market, can anyone recommend a suitable vehicle that they have had experience of?

  • The 5th Gear Thread 10 Dec 2004 (Forum)
Next monday night. 5th gear. Jenson\'s F1 BAR, a bike (no idea what), and a formula 1 powerboat. Which will win? I have no idea, beyond predicting the bike to initially beat the car, which will then start to reel it in (but is 1/4 mile too short to make any difference?)
  • peugeot 206 - delays???? 9 Dec 2004 (Forum)
But I have noticed that there is a slight delay when you operate the Horn or Headlamp flasher, meaning that when you press the horn its sounds approx. half second later, same for the Headlamp flasher. It is not instance like most cars. Is this the same for all 206's or is there a fault in the Control unit.
  • New car, tax, insurance cert 25 Nov 2004 (Forum)
m hoping to pick up my new car on Saturday, but for the dealer to tax it he needs an insurance certificate or cover note. My insurer said it will not fax such a document to the dealer, and that?s the law. Is it? Bit of a devil if I needed a replacement car quickly due to a crash or suchlike-I?d have to wait for snailmail to deliver! Any comments?

  • Starter Motor - Renault Laguna 3 Oct 2004 (Forum)
98 Laguna 1.6 Second starter motor failure in less than 6 months, unless there\'s another cause for a \'click\' when turning the ignition. Do you normally get a warranty on exhange units? I sourced a Hella one from GSF and got the local garage to fit it, but can\'t find a mention of any warranty on the receipt , catalog of web site.

Can I purchase and fit same without too much technical knowhow - if so, from where, pse?
  • Opinion on Fiat Coupe 6 May 2003 (Forum)
But that Fiat badge on the front often conjures up thoughts of unreliability and questionable build quality? What are the views of this car? Too high running costs to justify it?s purchase? Is the chassis really that good? Are the non-turbo 16v and 20v worth considering?
