• Gearbox noise - clutch ? Toyota Corolla. 20 Jan 2011 (Forum)
  Hi, My Toyota Corolla 2000 makes a sort of grinding noise when in gear, but out of gear the engine is its usual quiet self. My Toyota dealer reckons that my the gearbox has a worn bearing(s) (output?). Could the fault be a clutch related, though? I wonder, as the car is now at 110,000 miles. Anything else?!

  In Swansea this morning saw a reasonable looking Triumph 1300 in traditional 1970's brown parked at the side of the road outside a Toyota dealer, what was surprising was that I then saw a Toledo (the car that followed the 1300) driving the other way about 20 seconds later, maybe there's less rust in South Wales.

  Hi Guys, My ford escort 1.6 16v S reg has developed an intermittent flickering of the main beams when indicating and occasionally they flicker for no reason (I haven't touched the lever at all), what could this be? and is it easy to fix.

  Well, the salt has all gone, hopefully. ( but does it matter) What`s your approach to this? Do you have a good wash underneath and in the engine bay? How about valeters ? Does anyone request a wash underneath? Or is it all about polishing the top bit these days and a blind eye to the nether regions?

  Hi there, i have just bought a renault clio 1.6 16v, the tyre sizes are 185/55 r15 on alloy wheels. However, on the full size spare, there is a 195/55 r15. Am i able to fit 195's to my alloys? Thanks folks
