  Given this is a Japanese designed aluminium engine (I think Yamaha), is there a special coolant and anti-freeze I should use? 4. What oil grade? 5. Anything else. The radio code is lost. Is there a way to sort this out without removing the radio itself? Can find it on t'internet. TIA -- Espada III - well if you have a family and need a Lamborghini, what else do you drive?

  The dealership says that it needs a new electric motor which costs almost £200! - their argument was that at least the radio would work now even though the aerial isn't functioning properly (OK, fair enough). My main questions are.... a). Has anyone come across this before? b). Do you think it really needs a new motor?

  I looked on the SEAT website and their autochanger is about £250, possibly plus cables (not sure) then plus fitting. I haven't looked too closely yet, but it seems the radio is fitted behind a fancy display, so replacement with a straightforward slot type is probably out of the question. I also don't know whether the radio is designed, and the car is wired, to make the addition of the autochanger simple.

  or them in general, he states there was a recent oil leak which has now been fixed and also there is no radio in it (probably to listen previously to the leaking oil!!!), not the end of the world but does the radio have to be Fiat specifically? I was considering going down the line of a 5dr Fiesta between K-M plate for about 500 sovs but this seems a steal, or will it be daylight robbery?

  When I got here it was obvious that something was wrong. It turned out that the stereo code had been lost.. One of their staff pulled the radio out and rushed to a local auto stereo outfit to sort the code. When the car was put back into he dash it cuased a mal-function in the ECU which now does not recognise the stereo at all. The manager said I could take the car to a local dealer who would re prog the ECU under warranty.

  The stereo wiring leads fit in the back of the stereo fine and I get power and can hear the speakers work but cant get the Astra dashboard display to show the radio display. When the radio is switched on the time on the display stays on and the date disappears but nothing appears in its place. I have heard a rumour that the display needs to be matched to the stereo to work...is this true???

  The battery is just about managing in this cold weather and is ready for a change. Does anyone know if there anything that's likely to be affected when I do the swap - key codes, radio, etc? I've not had a problem swapping a battery in years but it's always worth an ask!

  I would like to buy an ix35 but I hate the shiny silver trim on the dash and steering wheel. It looks like it belongs on a 1970s Hong Kong radio. Is there a kit to replace the trim with something more subtle or can it be wrapped or painted?

  I have just listened to a programme on BBC Radio 4 presented by Quentin Letts (who he?). It was asking in a tongue-in-cheek style 'What is F1 for', quite interesting and amusing and it is repeated tonight, Tuesday, at 9.30pm - I think. Remind me someone - what is Formula One for?

  Has the offence now ceased to exist? The latest radio advert for the DVLA on line service has words to the effect of " if you apply on line you can continue to drive with no risk pending arrival of disc". Has this legitimised the old practice "Tax in the post" assuming that have actually applied!

  The problem is the sound from both front and rear left-hand speakers is very poor. I've checked the balance and that's set OK and the speakers are fine when in radio mode. Any suggestions please?

  My CD, Radio and cassette player are all working fine however the LCD has stop working (nothing displaying) although it is still lit up. Any ideas please? By the way the main car LCD is working ok.
