Ford Focus - 99 Ford Focus TD DI - Fuel leak 25 Mar 2011 (Forum)
So bolted everything back together and made sure all was tight including the fuel lines to the injectors. Also resealed the thermostat housing as that was leaking fluid. Ran the car and there was no obvious leeks. Got underneath and there seemed to be a small amount of diesel dripping from the alternator bracket which to me suggested the back of the fuel pump where we couldn't see anything. -

Ford Mondeo III (2000 - 2007) - 01 2.0tddi - no fuel in filter 31 Jan 2009 (Forum)
Ive got a 51 reg 2.0 tddi mondeo estate, the other day while driving it started to splutter and throw out loads of smoke and finaly cut out and would not start again,i had the car towed home and was told it may be fuel filter blocked and may needed changing ,so went bought new filter took old filter off and noticed there was no fuel in it,so before i put the new filter on i filled it with diesel connected everything back up and it started straight away i left it running for 10 mins then i cut out and would not restart so i disconnected the filter again and once more no fuel in it.Could it be the lift pump under the car near the fuel tank and also is there a relay that runs the pump.I know there not cheap is there any way of testing to see if it is the pump. -
Ford Focus (1998 - 2004) - 03 1.8 tdci Injectors? Fuel Pump? Cheap Diesel? 20 Nov 2008 (Forum)
The glow plug light was also flashing. I'm worried that the injectors may have gone again. But does anyone know about the fuel pump on this model? & whether there has been any recalls by ford? Or is the lesson that these cars can't be driven on cheap fuel? -
Supermarket cynicism in money off fuel offers. 23 Dec 2007 (Forum)
I had an experience recently of the way at least one of our leading super markets encourages customers to part with their money in devious but legal ways. My chosen SM periodically has a promotion on ?cheap? fuel. If the customer spends more than £50.00 in the shop then a coupon is given entitling the said customer to 5p per litre off the fuel in the SM station. Looks good, hey ! Advertised cost 106.9p, less 5p = 101.9p. -
Dacia Dual Fuel Prices 17 Aug 2021 (Forum)
I see Dacia have dropped the price of their dual fuel (petrol & LPG) cars to exactly the same as their petrol only equivalents. So presumably the customers are not prepared to pay a premium (as they did for diesel when they had diesel models across the range) No space for a spare wheel with the LPG tank though kinda spoils the whole proposition too. -

fiesta fuel filler rust 17 Sep 2011 (Forum)
I'm looking to buy a MK3 fiesta. I've seen one that checks out, except for the rust around the fuel filler, which I know is a common problem on these cars. What options are there for repairing for this. I have read that a new panel is required, but can't help thinking that for such a common problem on a very popular car someone ought to have come up with a simpler solution. -
