Diesel and the Budget 21 Jul 2001 (Forum)
The company I work for is reluctant to purchase Golf TDi 115 PD's due to fear of heavy-handedness on the smelly stuff. Instead they are proposing the 1.8 or 2.0 petrol with LPG conversions. Thanks to any Mystic Meg's out there. Simon -

My Rangie runs on LPG and petrol. Does anyone know if at MOT time the emissions are tested with the engine running on petrol or gas? If gas, can I get away with fitting an exhaust pipe minus the cats? I intend to fit tubular headers with lambda fittings. -

LPG Conversions 19 Dec 2002 (Forum)
I save 55% on fuel costs, including the cost of driving to fill up with gas. I must be "pinchy"-See last weeks Motoring Telegraph. In my view the only cheap way of running on LPG is to buy a fairly old and cheap car,in good nick, otherwise with depreciation the cost of conversion may not be worth it. You also need to be doing at least 25000 miles per year to make it worthwhile. -
Audi A3 2002 1.6 petrol misfire ? 24 Feb 2016 (Forum)
It’s covered 280,00 miles but has been well serviced, there is for instance absolutely no cam wear and the head is yellow inside, not black. The car runs on LPG as well as petrol. The problem is that is has a misfire on cylinder 2. It’s not the ignition. As the coil, leads and plugs have been changed. Also the coil (which is used for 2 cylinders) has been inverted, the fault stayed on cylinder 2. -
Ford Mondeo II (1996 - 2000) - Thinking of selling, what's it worth? 21 May 2009 (Forum)
Hi guys, Just a quick question for those who may have a clue, I'm thinking of selling my MK2 Mondeo Ghia X V6 LPG. It's a 2000 model and in what I can honestly say is immaculate condition for it's age, with the rare factory fitted ST24 kit. The LPG kit is still under warranty for a year. Whilst I can easily value it based on similar vehicles, I simply can't find one like mine to try and compare the value with! -
Vauxhall Astra G Petrol (1998 - 2004) - 2003 1.6 Keeps cutting out. 2 Feb 2009 (Forum)
Car seems to be running fine even if fuel economy is a little bit lower than usual. Fault is present when vehicle runs on both LPG and petrol. This is the fault: The car once started, runs like a dream either on LPG or petrol. Until you come to a halt! The engine then just custs out and has great difficulty (on either fuel) starting again. -
