  Hi Guys, I have an unusual problem with my S-Max... Under load the car misfire's and really struggles to rev. However, the really peculiar thing is that it is particularly bad when the fuel tank is full and becomes less noticeable/problematic as the tank empties.

  Hi, I have a slight whine on the steering on my wife's S-Max. I took it into my local garage for a service yesterday and also asked the mechanic to cast his eye over the steering to see what the problem was. He said he is 98% sure that its the pump and will be an expensive job.

  You can`t help feeling it`s an opportunity missed though. Surely the technology exists to govern cars speed direct from the ECU - via global positioning and also regulate the gap to the car in front? Somehow, you just know that`s the future and an election winning policy for the first political party to embrace it.

  Last August, 2007, prior to wife's car insurance expiring I searched via Confused.com and was offered a quote from Zurich, good cover, cheaper than her renewal and £50 in M&S vouchers, a good deal. This year I searched via Confused.com again and was again offered a Zurich quote and it was for less than the Zurich renewal and again offered £50 in M&S vouchers. I called Zurich to ask why the Confused quote was less than the renewal (same details exactly) to be advised that we could take out a new policy at the lower price AND get the M&S vouchers however if we renewed the existing policy we would pay the higher price sans vouchers.

  I had been happily doing 70 MPH with this tyre!. Next trip was to the tyre shop and have now shod it with Dunlop SP30?s all round. I not suggesting this is a common fault, but I?d advise checking B391?s when they are well worn. Happy motoring.

  He’s had the car for 3 years and its never been in an accident. On further investigation, he discovered it was now marked as a Cat S. His insurance company know nothing about it, and confirmed there had been no claims against the vehicle. Does anyone know how to resolve this, and get the Cat S removed?
