Started it up and it started and ticked over, as soon as I put pressure on the throttle it cut out. It did this for 5 minutes then started running ok mechanic reckoned he spent 4 hours fault finding and found a dry joint on the ecu. Mechanic reckoned it had been running rich for ages and needed a run out. drove it home and it did seem nippier and to run smoother than before. -

Next day in the daylight, I put in another 5 litres to make sure there enough to prime the pump. I check the pump is running by bridging the relay. I can hear the fuel running. Check all the fuses. Checked the inertia cut out switch. Confirmed I have a spark. Plugs wet with fuel after turning it over in vain. Checked all the obvious HT and LT connections and the injector wiring connection. -

Take it for a motorway run 70 - 80 runs fine after 15 miles or so injection warning light shows sometimes slight stagger in running often no obvious effect warning light comes & goes. So far I have replaced: lambda sensor. throttle body complete, MAP sensor & vac hose all had no effect except the MAP sensor which briefly seemed to improve running but soon reverted! -

I have a Vectra B that had the cam belt snap on it due to a fault with the water pump. Replaced cam belt, re-fitted head (16 valves bent and twisted) got it all running again and now I have a cooling prolem. I can start the car fine when cold, 2nd air pump works and car runs sweet. Car then heats up remarkably quickly. to about 100 but radiator fan doesn't kick in. -

Can anyone please help me with a problem with an elderly Vectra. The car is a 96P 2.0SRi. The problem is uneven running at small throttle openings or on the over run when the vehicle is warm. The car idles perfectly well and runs quite smoothly from cold and when warm runs fine given a reasonably large amount of throttle. -
