  Lamborghinis, Jaguars, retro F1 cars and Ferraris including Chris Evans’ ‘Magnificent Seven’ will be among the highlights at CarFest North, which takes place 2-4 August at Oulton Park, Cheshire. It’s the brainchild of BBC Radio 2 DJ and car lover Chris Evans and raises funds for Children in Need. Other highlights include musical performances from Jamie Cullum and Scouting for Girls. Among the vehicles on display at the event is a McLaren M23 once driven by racing driver James Hunt, from the 1976 that forms the backdrop for the upcoming Rush movie, directed by Ron Howard.

  There are two separate Carfest events in 2013 – one at Oulton Park, Cheshire, from 2 to 4 August and another at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire from 23 to 25 August. Carfest is the brainchild of TV presenter, Radio 2 DJ and car lover Chris Evans. In 2012 it raised more than £1,000,000, but Evans hopes to double that number in 2013.
