  The last MOT advisory was the seatbelt couldn’t be fully tested due to a child seat. Should I walk away..? Not had a BMW before, I’ve read that it’s usually after two years from new that service is required. The car has ‘fairly’ low miles especially the last few years.

  Is it ok to post something non defamatory about my bmw 640d that is being sold with lower mileage than I sold it for on the forum? And I might hasten to add being now sold with a full service history - when I sold it with a part service history? I really don’t want a new buyer being ripped off.

    1, oil service 2, inspection 1  3, inspection 2 its my first BMW do i dont know the process. somebody at work said its a inspection 2 but it seems pricey at £600 from the dealer so i might try a inde if thats right    thanks

  My 3 series is 4 years old and I will keep it for another 6 yet, doing around 10K per annum. The supplying BMW dealer charge mad prices for servicing and the service light calls me back for minor matters to get fleeced some more every few months. I want to use an Independent Garage, but can they deal with/switch off the servicing lights?

  Hi my turbo has recently gone on my 2003 525d e39 the car itself has only coverd 107,000 miles full bmw service history and this just seems to premature, can any one tell me if these are prone on these and why it might have gone, as i always let the turbo wine down before turning engine off as well, and can anyone tell me where i can get one for the best price, either new or reconditioned.

  I really would like something with a bit more oomph, but don't want to lose the versatility and lightness of the scooter (ie somewhere to store helmet, easy to ride). I really fancy a BMW F650 CS scarver as a replacement. Anyone have an opinion? Also, any alternatives? I want something quite reliable but must also have a low seat (30inch or so). Don't want to spend more than £3k if poss.

  I'm looking to get a BMW 528 SE but the cars in the price range I want to pay are all above 100K miles. I know I'm a tight git and don't really want to pay more than 4grand for it, but I reckon I could pick up a bargin, as all I ever hear is how these BMW are just worn in at 100K and that they could do another 100K if the service history is kept up.

  As per HJs review https://www.honestjohn.co.uk/road-tests/bmw/bmw-x7-xdrive30d-m-sport-2019-road-test/ 2.2 ton rating from a 7 seat SUV? Surely not simply because it’s a unibody, i mean the full fat range rover is rated for 3.5 tons, can someone explain?

  AA could not fix. Nothing wrong with bulb at all. Spent an hour with the electrics but came up with the need for BMW diagnostics. BMW Sytner want £150 just to look at ithe problem. Any ideas? I object to paying £150 with no guarantee of success.

  Been offered a choice of the following: 1. BMW M6 Convertable 2. BMW M5 Saloon Luckily i'm not picking up the purchase, running (tyres,fuel, servicing) or insurance cost, anyone had any of the above, i'm tempeted by the M5 then again i also like the 535D SE touring, but that's in a lower class.

  I am seriously considering buying a G reg BMW 325i touring with 189,000 miles on the clock. The car has had one owner from new and full BMW service history. The miles have mainly been clocked up on motorways. The asking price is £2,250. Am I mad or could this be a very shrewd purchase?

  Hi can any one please help. I have a 318i BMW (new shape) - auto. The car runs slightly rough without the a/c on, and a slight vibration is felt through the steering wheel - the engine never cuts out, BMW diagnostics say its OK. Turning on the a/c reduces the vibration considerably.
