  • Citroen DS5 - My Road Test Report 13 Mar 2015 (Forum)
Without doubt the 18” wheels and 45 series rubber do not help, but quite simply, in my opinion, Citroen have tuned the suspension all wrong. In wanting to attract drivers out of their BMWs and Audis, Citroen have missed the mark in trying to deliver an engaging drive, and created a car which is neither sporty to drive nor rides as well as these Germans.
  • Citroen DS5 - New CITROEN DS5 - bad paint job, steering faults 15 Feb 2019 (Forum)
On 31-03-2014 I phoned the Dealer and Informed him that I want to reject the car. I’ve been informed that they have to speak with Citroen UK. Later that day they come back to me and told me that they opened a case with Citroen and also informed me that I have to book in the car with another Citroen dealer for an independent opinion, if this can be considered independent opinion.

  • New brakes overheating - Citroen ZX 9 Aug 2006 (Forum)
9 months / 4000 miles ago I had a total brake failure on my 1997 Citroen ZX 1.4i, apparently due to fluid fade. The offside front got so hot that the disc turned blue and the insulation melted on the pad wear sensor wire. My local authorised Citroen independent diagnosed a faulty OSF calliper causing binding & consequent overheating, and fitted new front callipers, discs and pads both sides.
  • Fault marque patterns 12 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Looking at the technical section, seems the threads follow a pattern on reported vehicle faults ; Renault, Citroens , Vauxhall , Ford and VW feature in descending order . A kind of democratic JD Powers survey ?? Very few mentions of Honda, Toyota and Lexus in comparison

What's the oldest car you've bought for regular transport? My first two cars (Wolseley New 14 and Citroen 12) were both 20 years old when I bought them in 1956. -- L\'escargot.
  • C5 15 Feb 2004 (Forum)
I read recently that Citroen have just started fitting rear wash wipe to the C5 hatch. They left it off before, apparently, (although I'd never noticed) to make it look more like a saloon. Doh... Perhaps Sir Clive had a hand in this design too!
  • BXxxxing quick 17 Jan 2002 (Forum)
It went up to 90 at which point I thought it prudent to lift off. Fastest it had amanged previously was 60! Citroen specialist said rest is in good shape.
  • Citroen C8 - Low insurance offer - valued at twice the price 14 May 2013 (Forum)
A couple of months ago we unfortunately had our Citroen C8 (53 plate)  written off whilst on holiday in Holland.  Completely no fault on our part - driver turned into our lane and hit us head on. My father-in-law is Dutch and has been in regular contact with the Garage who hauled in the wreck (its a small village...) .
