A couple of months ago I thought I saw a reference to a new Citroen Picasso 1.6HDi diesel on HJ deals for £9999.00, thought I'd saved the reference to it but hadn't, done a search but no joy does it ring any bells with anybody?

I've had a quick scout around the places that i know of and it seems you can get the 2.0 HDi's for less than £10K but the 1.6 version is still quite a bit more.

Go to your local dealer and ask him to beat the price. You may be surpised.

This weeks' best deals at 4th September ( www.honestjohn.co.uk/news/index.htm?news_id=2381 )has a 1.6 HDi Picasso at £10,045 from www.newcarsonline.co.uk/ although their website seems to suggest £10,245.
www.buymynewcar.co.uk from the same page has it at £10,199 but the site suggests £10,299.
Prices on these are always a little bit up and down as Citroën tweaks the margins and they're as cheap as I can find.

The Picasso is now an end of line model and any agent should sell you a hdi for under 10k
