  My 2 lit TDCI will crank but not start. I then starts and runs as normal at the second attempt. Has anyone else.experienced this problem and found the solution.

  Would anyone like to work out roughly how much they spend per hour to run a car ( total annual cost divided by approx time actually spent in the vehicle ). I'm still working mine out btw.

  Can I legally park on the grass verge that runs along side of the road in the space between a pelican crossing zig-zags and the pavement? The remainder of the road outside of the markings have double yellow lines. Can anyone enlighten me please?

  I don't know if it just me or whether or not this happens, but after a long motorway run the clutch feels heaver than normal. I was wondering what causes this to happen after a long journey when the clutch is not used?? many thanks Sid

  Why do garages advertise this as a positive when advertising a used car? To me it means: a) Excessive Clutch/Brake wear B) Short run syndrome (Thirty seconds to local corner shop and back) C) Lots of minor parking dents

  W reg 106, the rear screen washer doesn't work. I can't hear the pump running, do I need to replace the pump or is there a fuse/relay for this circuit and if so where do I find it. Cheers Chris

  I run an old car which i've had a few years. It came with later alloy wheels. I'm considering returning the car to original wheels and tyres these are thinner (165 against 185) I expect to have less grip, anything else?

  Run a Y2K Xantia 2.0Hdi estate. Various failures of rear screen heat and tailgate mounted lights traced to (fatigue?) breaks in cable cores inside wiring conduit between body and tailgate. Is this a known Xantia problem and are there any fixes?

  I have recently converted my 4.2LSE Range Rover to gas. It runs fine on petrol but hunts at idle on gas although from 1000rpm on it is fine. Does any one have any words of wisdom?

  W reg rover 25 1.4 si Starts ok hot or cold. When moving off engine hesitates when cold then runs ok . Only happens when cold. Have changed spark plugs. Any answers please?

  I am looking for a second car run about and can't decide which one - any views? Civic or Corolla or Almera? Looking at HJ's car by car breakdown the Almera looks hard to beat (reliability and longevity are my key concerns).
