• Renault Megane 1.4 - replace clutch 23 Nov 2018 (Forum)
    Any idea how long it takes to change a Clutch on a  Renault Megane  1.4.  Year 2005.   The garage did my friends clutch on their car and charged him nine hours labour at £50.00 per hour plus VAT on top. It is proper garage with Ramps and MOT test Station.

  The power steering mechanism on our Renault Megane (2002) has recently been replaced. When the car was collected a light but persistent clunking had appeared, noticeable particularly when travelling at low speeds (say 10 mph). Neither we nor the garage (in 20 mins) have been able to find an explanation.

  My renault Scenic seems prone to collecting water in the heater chamber which on two occasions in the past has meant replacing the heater motor at vast expence! Is there a drain hole that needs clearing out and is a simple way of doing so?

  Hi my 2001 Renault scenic won't start after engine warm. I've cleaned the crank sensor but still the same. Can it still be faulty? I've read about ect sensor but don't know where it is located or where to buy it from.
• Renault Clio II (2001 - 2007) - 03 1.2 headlights not working 27 Jun 2013 (Forum)
  My sons 03 renault clio 1.2 headlights have stopped working, i have changed both bulbs and checked all the fuses in the fuse box at the end of the dash on the passenger side, but are still not working, is there another fuse box somewhere, or is it a more serious problem, i would appreciate any advice.

  Hi I have an 02 renault megane, recently the gearbox mount was replaced by '' a guy down the road'' since its been done there is a loud crack / slap type sound when changing gears, it seems to be in the gearbox area. the gear stick still wobbles about but not as bad as it did and only in 1st and 4th any ideas any one??

  The garage has quoted £1700 for the repair which is about what the car is worth. The main cause of the high price is that the whole of the column has to be changed and Renault have to issue a code of some sort to be put into the cars computer. Has anyone found a way round this?

• Renault Master T35D - Continuous voltage drop 8 Mar 2011 (Forum)
  My renault master has developed a continuous voltage drop which I cannot locate. I have totally disconnected the alternator, starter motor and taken out all the fuses but cannot find anything. It is a fair drop of 3 to 4 volts, flattening the battery overnight.

  Could anyone help me locate the MAP vaccuum hose on a Renault MEGANE OASIS VVT AUTO 2005. A photo or drawing would be really appreciated! I have been advised to check it for splits as experiencing some power loss and high revs especially as low speed or pull away.

  HELLO IV JUST SERVICED OUR RENAULT MASTER AND CHANGED GLOWPLUGS AND AN INJECTOR BUT I MUST HAVE LEFT THE BATTERY WIRE ON. NOW I GET THE GLOWPLUG AND A WIGGLY LIGHT ON ABOVE IT CAN ANYONE TELL ME A WAY OF REMOVING IT WITHOUT GOING TO A GARAGE.

  We have just fitted the fourth battery in five years to our 05 2.2 diesel auto Grande Espace. The Renault garage has no ideas and don't seemd to think this is odd. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? The last one lasted 3 months and that was after the alternator had also been changed.

  We don't have the infra red key and the immobiliser has kicked in when the battery went flat, Renault want £160 at least for a new one, has anyone got any suggestions how we can get round this? Credit crunch etc mean we are broke!

  hi i have a grand secnic diesel 56. had warning check injection took it to renault and they tried to force regenaration but failed they said to much soot in filter it now needs to be changed and they say its not covered by the warranty got 6 months left on it. anybody know how much its going to cost. thanks x

  I have a Renault Clio 1.5 cdi. The ABS and SERVO lights have come on. Does anybody have an idea what the fault could be and would it be expensive to correct? Is it still safe to drive? Thank you for any reply.

  my renault espace alize has an annoying vibration when pulling away in 1st gear. Have recently changed driveshaft assemblies, gearbox, and nearside hub and bearing. Has been sugggested it could be engine mounts.
