  My Peugeot 806 (diesel) has recently seemed to lack power necessary to accelerate much when in fourth or fifth gear. It's a struggle getting up to 70+ and uphill it's a no-no. There are no warning lights and the lower gears don't seem to be affected.

  I have a peugeot 406 Rapier 2.0 Hdi - sometimes when I take my foot off the accelerator the car speeds up as if I had put my foot down. Why is this? To slow the car I have to brake or change down. Cheers

  I have a Peugeot XTB 1.6 1999 modell . Does anybody know which OBD version the ECU is using for this model? (OBDII or earlier..) The plug is J1962 , but a OBDII/EOBD reader I tried ,could not communicate with the ECU , so maybe the french has got their own protocols for pre 2000 modells, does anybody know ?

  My Peugeot 406 has lost some power, there is air leaking from a pipe on bottom of the engine that leads to the turbo. any suggestions if this could cause loss of power and how easy it is to replace? cheers {no need to include car make/model in main subject header as the drop down choice you made already takes care of it}

  Has anyone had trouble here? Peugeot tell me that the filter only needs changing if it gets blocked (does this happen?) but that a fluid needs replacing at a cost of £80 plus labour every 40,000 miles. Is this a diy job and can "equivalent" but cheaper fluids be used?

  I have a 2l petrol 2001 peugeot 406 petrol estate After jump starting my sons saab the engine management light on my vehicle dash came on permenently. Also the warning message on the display, showed" engine anti polution system defective".any ideas please.

  I have a 1998 Peugeot 406 2.1TD. During the past couple of days the cooling fans have been remaining on for a few minutes after the ignition has been turned off and, sometimes while the engine is running, they are both turning at full speed.

  my friend has a 99 206 auto. her indicators keep going off for no reason, and the dealer wants to charge her for it. she thinks there was some free fix offered by peugeot for this problem, and the CBCB says that the free fix was offered from jan 2003. Does that mean the fix was offered for cars registered after jan2003 or if an owner complained after jan2003?

  Hi, I am suffering from abnormal wear on the rear tyres of my peugeot estate. The present tyres are less than a year old but the inside edge on both is nearly bald.   My 1998 Peugeot 406 TD has begun to over rev on start up although it seems to resolve when the engine has been running. It will also rev up when, for example, stopped at traffic lights or when stopped with the engine running in a queue of traffic.

  On my way back from work today my K reg Peugeot 106 started making a screeching sound as I went to change gear, especially when I was changing at a higher speed, e.g. 3rd to 4th/4th to 5th. Screeching continued when rolling at speed in neutral and then appeared to quiten down (as if something was slowing down while turning) as speed declined.

  I'm not a Peugeot fan, but the 407 does stand out from the crowd. As a potential replacement for my Volvo S60, they look really good value at under £11k for a 54 plate 2.0 petrol. And living in France as I do, servicing must surely be cheap and easy to arrange?

  Recently i bought an S reg (1998) Peugeot 306 (1.6 petrol engine Meridian Model.) The 1st week it drove without problems, but now it refuses to start. I have looked at the fuel pump which is fine and checked the fuses again these are ok, the car turns over when i turn the key so the battery is fine aswell.

  My daughter's Peugeot 106 intermittently produces a squeal from the engine. Can happen when stationary or moving. Lasts for seconds or up to a minute then disappears. Most likely to happen when cold or soon after starting but also has occured when engine is warm (not fully hot).

  as you may have seen im in the market for a newer car , it was previously a choice between a new style Vectra or the C5 , both diesel. Ive been looking around and came across a Peugeot 406 2004 model that has sat-nav . Is this a free to use gizmo on the car or does one have to pay each year to make it work ? Any advice on this thread please ? Oh its a Diesel hdi 90 , should I really have the 110 ?

  I have a Peugeot 106 XN 1.1i Grad. 1993, ocassionally when I change gears (usually when engage 1st gear) and (try to) accelarate there is a (lag)lack of power, the car does not want to accelerate (sort of flat spot) for a couple of seconds even though I got the accelerater fully depressed, this lasts for about 1-4 secs then the car responds as usual, accelerating.
