  i have a Citroen Xantia Feb 1999 hdi....great car but it go's into limp mode on a run.....around town it is fine...but on a run it go's to 2000 revs after about a hours drive and that's it ... ...also the light on the dash comes on with a picture of an engine....if i stop and turn it off and restart its ok again.

  have a problem , may involve exhaust gas pressure differential valve EGPD , The hoses started popping off , i jubilee clipped them on , then they burst . put heavy duty pipe and jubilee clips on , then it wouldnt run at all , took them off and the car runs , but noisey and smelly, before i replace egpd can anyone confirm this or offer another reason , thanks everyone for taking the time to read this , ta , lee.d

  hi,can anyone help my 98 2ltr petrol crysler voyager is only running on two cylinders ( 2 and 3 ) there is no spark at 1 and 4..i have replaced the coil pack but the problem remains.im not over good with modern engines but maybe someone else has had this problem and it an easy fix....the car starts first time on the button and runs on the two cylinders....thanks for your help

  avin probs with my 806 it starts fine and runs for a while then engine starts to hunt a bit and becums more smokey then it runs like this, when i rev it, it smokes more just had head gasket and timing belt done thw smoke is white i dun the work myself check everything still cant find out whats wrong any ideas?

  I have noticed before, and was reminded today, that breakdown/windscreen replacement/mobile tyre fitters keep the engines of their vans running whilst they carry out the rescue or repair. Why? Today, a neighbour had Autoglass round to replace a windscreen. Job took perhaps 25 minutes. He left the engine running on his Transit all the time.
