  From the BBC website coverage of the over-by-over coverage of the ODI series: BBC cricket correspondent Jonathan Agnew on Twitter: "Put wrong fuel in car - petrol into diesel. Broken down on M1. In tow truck heading north. No chance of getting to The Oval" That will be pricey... but shows how it can happen to anyone. We bought a fuel angel, so won't happen to us.

  Can any one give advise on how to clear bad emission readings. Its the carbon monoxide that seems to be the problem. The car has been low on fuel and was stood around for months, could bad fuel be making it run rich? Would it help to fill the car a give it a good blast?? Can anyone help? Thanks

  Q1 - anybody know the mileage at which cam belt on 1.5 dci engine should be changed Q2 - above engine sometimes fails to start. Operation of fuel line bulb tends to indicate air in fuel line.   In the morning would not start but turns over. I have checked the spark plugs, HT leads, changed fuel filter but no joy. Someone said that there is a fuse for the fuel pump, but can't locate it. Thankful For Any Help Or Ideas.

  I have personally concluded that put on airconditioners (A/C) increases fuel consumption by at least 10 to 30%. Nevertheless, the climate is now warm and therefore not using A/C means opening the car windows or the sunroof (I am not talking about the convertible). So here is the question: which leads to less fuel consumption between opening windows or sunroof?

  Having heard you can use chip fat oil as a substitute for diesel fuel, I was wondering whether you could use new sunflower oil or new vegetable oil? Is veg oil better to use than sunflower oil? Also, can it damage the engine using this as a fuel. Finally, can one mix the diesel with the sunflower/ veg oil safely?

  On one stretch of the journey, it seemed that we covered a number of miles on a long downhill stretch in neutral, with speeds upto about 60 mph. His argument was that it saved him fuel.... Apart from that reason, what sort of wear and tear damage can he do that would give him repair bills that outway the fuel savings?

A typical 2.0 TD large hatchback weighs about 50% more Has an engine 50% bigger Produces 84% more power (138 v 75bhp) Accelerates quicker, especially in-gear acceleration and... only uses about 1/3rd more fuel.

  hi, i own a vauxhall astra 1.6 16v xreg, my fuel consumption is about 370mls on a full tank! i dont drive it too hard!! can this car be tuned like you could adjust the co on a carb? and adjust the timing? or is everything pre-set? the car is seviced every 12months plugs,airfilter,oil,fuel filters all changed regular. please help!!!!!
