Is Police driving driving driving standards down ? 19 Apr 2008 (Forum)
I know that we have all had to pass a test, and should know the right answers, but I also know, from teaching another child to drive, that even then doubts can remain and poor examples feed those doubts, and good examples with experience teach good driving. I am not bashing the police's efforts in all directions, from what I have seen of foot and local cycle patrols, their bearing and manner is pretty much unimpeachable, and when away from their cars I have no complaints, but I do wonder if the local patrol car driving standards are slipping somewhat. -

Ford Fiesta (2009 - ) - New Fiesta test drive 18 Oct 2008 (Forum)
Just had a test drive in the new Fiesta. Really good car to drive and, if I was buying a new supermini, this would be top of the list. Has anyone seen the new Jazz anywhere? I test drove a 1.25 today and it didn't feel underpowered. -
Great Driving Positions 27 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Another thing that i am curious about in a new car is a fantastic, sporty driving position. The low-slung kind. I sat in a Kia C'eed a couple of weeks ago and liked the way the seat felt low and close to the road. Are there any other everyday cars (superminis, hatchbacks, saloons) that also have a sporty driving position? -

Driving in France - adjusting headlights 6 Aug 2005 (Forum)
Unlike the old model, there doesn't seem to be a way to adjust the headlights on my BMW 5 series (e60) for driving on the rhs. I seem to recall reading soemwhere that it's legal to drive in Europe with std lights provided they are at lowest setting on the dash mnounted control. Anyone else heard of this or am I dreaming? -
New Astra Driving Position 7 Feb 2005 (Forum)
I took a short spin in the new Astra at the weekend, and was very disappointed with the driving position, particularly the steering wheel which was offset 2 inches to the left, leaving me feeling a bit twisted as I was driving. Are there any new Astra owners out there, and if so are you comfortable over long journeys? -
Driving on the Continent. 6 Apr 2002 (Forum)
In the not too distant future I would like to take the car to Europe for a short break (I need the break, not the car). Although I passed my driving test abroad, in Cyprus, I have never driven on the right hand side (Ok... except for overtaking!). Question, is there anywhere in the North West that provides instruction/experience of driving on the right? -
Fun Car to Drive - confused! 23 Feb 2016 (Forum)
However, I have got the dreaded engine warning light. Garage struggling to fix it. The Primera is a very comfortable car and a joy to drive, even though it is 14 years old. It is still more comfortable then say some smaller cars, I have hired on holiday. But the Primera does not inspire me to wake up drive all the way to Scotland! It is not a fun car to drive. -
