• How much is a MINI really worth? 13 May 2007 (Forum)
  I was recently looking around thinking about changing my Focus TDCi for a MINI One or Cooper. I was surprised to see that £9k would only buy you an 52/03 Cooper or 53/04 One (obviosuly with a/c). Are these cars really in that much demand still, and retaining such value, or is the Mini Cherished scheme particularly overpriced?

  Driving N bound on the A34 just now I saw a new Mini on a transporter, with the rear side windows covered over with vinyl, and the logo of Hampshire Police on the vivyl and a Police Community Support Officer sticker on the rear bumper. Fashion victim or what?

  Two hours wait for Mini recovery and a trip home on a flat bed wagon. Mini Recovery came out next day and fixed the thing on the drive. Today my son phones from Yorkshire to tell me the same thing is happening to the windows and alarm.

  I have a Mini one D REG55 does anyone know where I can find the fuel line return valves on my car if it has any? Any advice would be most appreciated

  hi all, first posting. my ever faithful mini has a little problem, when hot the tickover is sometimes rock solid at 850 rpm but sometimes it hovers between 700 and 1000 rpm. this dos not cause any problems but it is annoying. its a 1996 single point injection model, the first car i have ever owned without a carburetor!

• Mini One or Fiat Grand Punto 9 Sep 2007 (Forum)
  I am looking to spend 6k on a car for my wife,i suggested a Mini one and she was keen but now has seen that she can get a pre-reg Fiat grand punto for the same money.My heart says go for a 52 plate 5yr old Mini out of warranty with around 50k miles,my mind says go for the still under warranty 1k miles punto,which is the best to go for?

  does anyone have any idea why my mini runs on when i turn the ignition off? it doesn't do it every time but it does puzzle me.also my battery (which is brand new) often goes flat, the alaernator has been rewound etc.. pumping out 14 volts but when i test the connection to the starter solenoid it only shows 12.3v which i think is not enough to charge the battery, aconnected problem i have is that my headflights are quite dim i have no comparison so it may just be mini lights if any on e can help with any of these problems i would be very grateful thanks

  Guess what, I may be tempted to take SWMBO to have a look....she does moan that the Disco is a handful in town....The only condition really is that the Mini must be in the "right" colour. Some colours don't work.

  Hi everyone, I’m new here to this forum. I’m interested in buying an approved used Mini from an official BMW mini dealer. one thing that I’m a bit concerned about is the MOT. when I check the government website to check last MOT, it says that the MOT expired in 26 July 2019 and that the last MOT was done in July 2018.

  As the title really. The wife wants a MINI again and looking at 3ish years old. We have had one before and wont be making the mistake of getting one without aircon and leather as it was a nightmare to get a good trade price for it. Am a bit concerned that the MINI bubble may burst with the financial panic going on at the minute and as we are looking to keep it only 2 years or so, residual value is important.

  I'm mostly a weekend driver, putting in a lot of miles in the summer for mini breaks and camping trips. Will want to mount a bike rack at some point too.  My head tells me the Jazz is the sensible choice, but my heart is with the Mini. I wonder if a Polo is the perfect compromise?

  Hi I have had my Mini Cooper for 2 days when the active bonnet was activated due to a deer crossing my path. There was no collision, the deer wandered around in the road & then headed off & there isn’t a sign of dent, scratch or even dirt on the front of my car.

  I have recently purchased a 2006 mini cooper cabriolet. Having worked on the car to pass the mot time to refit the broken radio Aries. Having done this it appears to have interfered with the anti theft alarm as we were receiving messages from neighbours through the night saying the alarm was going off.

  Hi can anybody tell me what is the problem with the power steering pump on the mini when on full lock or doing a three point turn the pump stop's working, but it is only intermitent not all the time.so what could be the problem?? Thanks Slack.

  A friend of mine has a new vehicle,fitted with a Panasonic radio CD player(model CQ-C111OAN).She wants to play music thru it off a mini disc.We have connected it using the phono inputs on the back of the Panasonic unit but,presumably,there must be someway of selecting this input,which we cannot find.Anyone know how to turn on these inputs?
