Business as Usual at Auction 5 Jun 2002 (News)
Top bid took it to £2,900 provisional. It wasn’t all like that. The book was spot on for a 92,405 mile 99T S-Type Jag 3.0 litre V6 manual with no extras to speak of but in a fetching shade of light metallic blue. The estimate for 90,000 miles was £9,900. Top bid was £9,575. So reckon it probably came for £9,750. -

Used Van Buying Guide: Nissan NV200 2009-2019 16 Jun 2025 (News)
Packing masses of space into its 4.4m overall length, Nissan’s light panel van boasts a volume of 4.2 cubic metres - a full 900 litres more than a Citroen Berlingo. Indeed, to match the NV200’s volume you’ll need to look at long-wheelbase versions of its rivals. Even here it excels, with 200 litres more than a Renault Kangoo long-wheelbase and matching that of a long-wheelbase Vauxhall Combo. What it delivers in space it might lack a bit in style, but that is a compromise most buyers will be happy to make such is its usefulness. -

Classic concept cars celebrated at British Motor Museum exhibition 29 Jul 2019 (News)
There was also an engine governor to control the car's speed and a radar unit that would detect cars ahead and adjust the XL90's speed accordingly. Sound familiar? It also looks familar with a definitely flavour of the modern MPV design that found popularity with the Renault Espace. Like many cars today, the Triumph XL90 used plastic panels. -

Meanwhile, a 1990 Mini City E Automatic that had travelled less than 12,000 miles in the hands of one lady owner, also fetched a top estimate £8800. -
Born again concept cars debut at London show 21 Dec 2015 (News)
The first is the mid-engined XJ13, a possible Le Mans contender built in the 1960s. The second recreates 1999’s XK180, originally crafted to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the much-loved Jaguar XK120. Both will be on show at London ExCeL on 18-21 February. The original XJ13 was completed by Jaguar in 1966 and was powered by a prototype quad-cam 5.0-litre V12 engine. -
Five Grand Friday: Chrysler 300C 21 Aug 2015 (News)
They may not look as sporty but they provide a better ride and you're less likely to kerb them. The reason the ride quality of the 300C was so good was that it used a combination of Mercedes S-Class and E-Class suspension. So what to look out for? Well there's nothing serious. The tyre pressure monitoring system valves are prone to failure due to corrosion but this is easily prevented by fitting plastic instead of metal valve caps. -

Curios: Rover Prestige, by Wood & Pickett 28 Feb 2014 (News)
The Prestige’s other remarkable feature was its enormous walnut-fronted dashboard, complemented by inlaid walnut door cappings. It is well-documented that many people did not take to the SD1′s original minimalist dashboard design, and this £560 option was Wood & Pickett’s attempt at something a little more traditional. While some felt that its height was likely to induce a feeling of claustrophobia, it did at least look impressive, and provided an additional storage locker on the passenger’s side.
