  • Lexus 450h - Water leak into cabin 21 Nov 2019 (Forum)
I have a 56 registered Lexus 450h. This is it's third winter but last winter I found water soaking the carpet on the drivers side. It eventually dried out, with lots of newspaper and hair drier use and I had no more problems over the summer.
  • lexus ct200h - Cars with Futuristic / Technical / interior design 7 Oct 2015 (Forum)
Hi all, I'm looking to buy a (used) car (Budget is under £10000), and one of the most important things in a car for me is the interior design (dashboard, center console, etc).   I find interior designs such as Lexus CT200h (with all the back lights such as gree light when you go "Eco" mode or red light when you go "Sport" mode), or the ldashboard layout of the Honda CRZ to be very beautiful. On the other hand, I find the simple designs such as the ones on most BMWs and Audis to be extreamly boaring.
  • "Lexus Lanes" - buy a "privilege lane Govt scheme" 4 Mar 2008 (Forum)
Telegraph's campaign against road pricing Have your say: Would you pay to use less congested motorway lanes? Plans to explore the feasability of pay-as-you-drive motorway lanes - dubbed "Lexus lanes" - have been announced by Ruth Kelly, the Transport Secretary Plans for national road pricing are thought to have been shelved Ms Kelly told a conference that the Government had already shown an interest in lanes where access is limited to vehicles carrying several passengers or drivers willing to pay a toll.

  • Lexus NX - Dashboard leather finish 25 Jul 2022 (Forum)
I have had my Lexus for a few months now, very comfortable, surprisingly economical and altogether a nice drive. Boot space a bit tight but nothing I can’t live with. The ICE is quirky but improves with experience but still not quite up there.
  • Lexus - Mad or simply idiotic owner? 9 Sep 2018 (Forum)
Walked into town on Tuesday. Close to a set of lights a Lexus GS passed me and from the exhaust it was emitting quite a bit of white smoke (not steam). A few seconds later the unmistakable smell of parafin (I know the smell well - in my youth every outside loo was heated by it in winter as was every greenhouse) drifted into my nostils.
  • Nissan Leaf Ford Modeo Lexus IS250 - 12k second hand commuter under 6k£ 20 Mar 2016 (Forum)
I'd get a Leaf just because I can charge it for free, so within 3 years it pays for itself. If the Leaf isn't OK I hesitate between a Mondeo 2.0TDCi and a Lexus IS250 automatic. What's your take? What kind of mileage I can reasonably find for 6k£? Primarily I want a very reliable car, running costs are secondary.   Cheers
  • Lexus style lights..Electrical problem. 26 Apr 2007 (Forum)
Hi All. Well i have been messing about for five hours now and got nowhere. This morning the lexus style lights arrived for my ford Ka (2003/ 03 plate) complete with the bulbs and wiring connectors, so a simple 15 min job to change over, or so I thought. The problem I have only affects the rear drivers side.
  • No Lexus - It went bang. 10 Nov 2005 (Forum)
I hope The Lawman and P2501 don't mind me posting this but here goes nothing. Insured myself on the Lexus. Get the certificate. All sorted for picking it up this week when I get a call. The gearbox has given up basically. Keeps jumping out of gear. Could cost loads, or might cost not loads. No-one knows and to be honest, I've got a perfectly good car and am not really willing to risk it.

  • bland or prestigious 20 Dec 2005 (Forum)
thank you everyone for your comments on my lexus or bmw forum. i must admit bmw are well engineered and build quality is superb. but i have noticed they look like clones of each other now 3, 5, 7 series. no character anymore. i bet there's bmw owners who have loads of problems with there cars and been converted to lexus. they use to be quite exclusive but there common as other cars now. the new honda civic is going to scare the blue rinse brigade its aimed at the younger market.
  • Is there a faster way to lose money? 24 Oct 2004 (Forum)
Just been listening to a very interesting radio programme featuring a car valuation expert. A chap just enquired on the value of an immaculate '04 Lexus GS430 sport? with 12k on the clock and fully loaded. IIRC he paid £42k for it about 10 months ago and today's valuation is..... ..... £26k!!!! Ironically the owner bought Lexus in the belief that they retain they values well but apparently this car is not much in demand anymore.

  • Lexus IS250 21 Jul 2025 (Forum)
Change it too early and the only argument is you’re wasting your money. So a goldie-locks interval must exist! I see that Lexus Europe recommends every 6 years under severe usage which includes town driving. Anyhow, I know the risks. Any recommendations for a specialist in or near Suffolk? Thanks

  • Lexus RX 450h - Lexus Dealership 1 Oct 2015 (Forum)
I basically had to sell this car, and buy another type of vehicle of which could be converted, of which lost me in access of £4000 on the Lexus, and roughly the same amount on the Toyota Rav 4 I purchased. I was realistic in my opinion in not expecting the full amount back on the Lexus, I had after all driven some 3000 miles in it, but would have expected a much more of a better deal than I got.
  • Honest John's Motoring Agony Column 04-05-2019 Part 1 14 May 2019 (Forum)
The VW system was done on the cheap and so is very poor, the BMW system in the i3 uses a camera and so fails whenever the sun is out! Lexus first fitted ACC to its cars more than 15 years ago, and the system still works perfectly on 15 year old Lexus cars. There is a reason that German cars don’t show the same reliability.......
