Volkswagen T-Roc (2017 on)
1.5 TSI Evo 150ps Design 5dr SUV
Untrustworthy and difficult to drive
I have had my T-ROC for 18 days. It kangaroos when i try to pull away in 1st gear and also cuts out/ stalls intermittently when pulling away. This has happened when on hill starts and trying to get onto roundabouts and starting to pull away at traffic lights. I am unable to trust the car and find myself giving the car more rev in the hope i can just pull away without causing other road users to be held up behind me whilst they assume i am unable to drive my car properly!! I have taken it back to the dealer, who has admitted there is a 'software' problem but they do not know when an update will be available! When i told them i was not happy to drive the car with my young family in it, they told me i could leave the car with them until there is a 'fix', with no offer of a courtesy car as they do not know how long it will be. We are now in the process of rejecting the vehicle and getting a refund. It is a real shame as i thought the car looked great and i was really pleased with it. My faith in VW has been destroyed and after 13 years of driving VW i am now looking at other makes of cars as a replacement. I would not recommend buying this vehicle until the fault has been fixed.
