Overall reliability

Nice car, if it was reliable.

Nice looking car, drives well and is good on fuel. Handling ok, but slightly soft for proper B road bashing. Reasonably fast but does struggle getting the power down in the wet. Ride quality excellent, even on standard 19" wheels and non-adaptive suspension. Interior build quality good, apart from the cheap hard plastic rear door cards. Unfortunately the cars reliability lets it down. The car has covered 44,000 from new and the clutch slave cylinder has just failed requiring a gearbox removal along with the clutch replaced due to it being contaminated. The car has also suffered a leaking water pump and lots of knocks and bangs from the rear suspension. These are common problems from reading on owners forums. Considering that these are not cheap cars to buy new or used I find issues such as that unacceptable on a car with relatively low mileage.
