A great all round work horse in a compact body.

We replaced our Yeti with the Scala and went down to being a one vehicle family at the same time. We found a Scala to our spec. through Car Wow at the Skoda dealers in Darlington. It was priced at almost 25% off list and with 3 months free of payments on a PCP was excellent value. We had the full rear glass hatch version which does add something to the looks.
The car hasn't done many miles since collection, but has been our motorised wheelbarrow during a house move. During the long drive back from Darlington, after collection, I didn't notice any high levels of noise that are referred to in the HJ review.
The suspension mops up the bumpy tramlines on my local test bend as if it was smooth tarmac and the low end acceleration is noticeably faster than the 1.2 DSG Yeti it replaced.
The dealer insisted on me paying an initial deposit, even though the deal was fully funded by the finance plus the balance of the Yeti's PX value. It took them more than a month to refund the deposit and then only after several chasers.
