Overall reliability

A really good buy.

We'd had several Alhambras before this one, had moved to a C4 Picasso but returned with the enthusiasm of someone finding a well used comfortable coat. This Seat demonstrator had 7200 miles on it when we bought it at 3 months old from Hobins Preston. The car has been completely reliable, averages about 43 to the gallon overrall and meets all our needs. Being the Ecomotive means no low profile tyres which is great for tyre wear and comfort.

Faults? No spare wheel, so we bought one and carry it in the boot. Annoying, but as we normally use it in 5 seat mode no big issue. The DPF has given no problems but I carry out a weekly high rev cruise if we've been around town all week. We did have a squeaky rear window but that was sorted by Hobins second attempt. They are an excellent dealership.

Overall I'm very happy with this MPV, I don't need a bigger more expensive vehicle like the new model. May have to keep this one for a while yet!
