Excellent car, works well for a small family

We downsized from 2 cars to this Captur, and so far we have been delighted. It is big enough for 3 of us plus our luggage for short breaks. For longer holidays we have roof bars and roof box. The 90bhp diesel won't win any races, but even on the motorways and A roads it is more than up to the job thanks to the extra torque of the diesel. We are getting around 55mpg with mixed short and long journeys. On larger rounds it is really quiet and smooth, although it can get a bit bumpy on poor road surfaces. The gearshift is easy to use and quite smooth. Build quality seems good, and whilst some interior plastics seem a bit cheap it is practical and easy to look after. If you want a hot hatch to string the corners together look elsewhere. But if you want a cheap to run, easy to drive, comfortable and good looking family car look no further.
