Overall reliability

stylish, comfortable and good to drive both around town and over distance.

I was lucky enough to have the option of an Evoque as a company car. As a result the car is in regular use and has covered just over 40,000 miles in 18-months. I could write list of the things that have gone wrong but that wouldn't be very interesting as we are looking at a loose heatshield and a fuse in the 12v socket (cigar lighter if you are old school). Both sorted during a regular service at the main agent.

The good points have grown along with the milage. Total relibility, very pleasant interior even after a days driving over 400 miles. a nice balance of performance and economy. The 150bhp is suffficient and put me off any thoughts of tinkering with the euc to extract the higher 189 bhp.
With regards to fuel economy which is always an emotive subject, the car has performed very well and now that the engine is run in it hovers around the 40mpg mark, depending on driving style.

Indeed on one occasion I put my mind to economy mode over a 200 mile motorway journey I acheived an average of 60 mpg.

The few short comming's of the car are the rear seats which will accomodate passengers over 6 foot but seem to unsettle them after a short time, limited boot space and the ride can get a little unsettled on broken roads but bearing in mind it has 19'' alloys this is a minor mark.

On the motorway it is surefooted with a reserve of power when required without having to drop down the gearbox.

The tyre wear which has been fantastic, 40,000 plus miles on the original Continetal Scorpians. Either they are a very hard compound or the car is lighter than it looks.

Overall the car has pleased me more as the miles have grown and I still look forward to driving the car.

Finally I was reminded recently of how desirable this car is. My wife and I were sat in a cafe when we heard a couple on the next table discussing various subjects (we think they were on a date) when the lady said her dream car was a Range Rover Evoque, I was hard to stiffle a little smile and not join in the conversation.
