A real headturner

Having just sold a 3.0L twin turbo diesel X5 this new car had quite a lot to live up to and so far, so good. I went for more or less the top of the range in white and even upgraded the alloys to the black 20" versions and it looks stunning. Ivory and black leather interior sets it off nicely.

The power delivery isn't as smooth as the X5 but I wasn't expecting it to be given it's only a 4 pot and not a 6, however it's still very good and quite pokey given the power-to-weight ratio and the 240 horses. There is plenty of room in the rear which was an initial concern and the rear view is more than adequate which was another.

I do have one grumble however and this may be seen as a bit of a whinge, however I have never experienced this with any car I have ever owned which, just for the record, is very many, from cars costing £500 to those costing £80k. The driver's seat adjusts fully electronically (height, f/wards, b/wards, s/back) and also has memory saving for 3 positions, however with the front passenger seat there is no ability to adjust the height of the seat. You can electronically adjust f/wards and b/wards and also the s/back and lumbar support but here is no abliity to adjust the height, not even manuallly so we have found that the front passenger sits very low in the car and nothing can be done about it. I found this extraordinary and I'm a bit p***ed off about it. Is this a complete oversite by Land Rover or were they just lazy?? I have raised this with the main dealer and they seemed fairly uninterested.
