Overall reliability

Comfortable,reliable, economical trouble free motoring.

Bought this car from a dealer in 2003 as a demonstrator. I purposely avoided a model that had all the bells and whistles to avoid having trouble later on. Sound thinking, as my car has performed extremely well and regularly returns 48+ mpg. Apart from consumables in servicing, tyres etc., the only things that have been replaced are 2 drop links, arear silencer and battery (this didn't need replacing as the dealer misdiagnosed the problem!) and a couple of bulbs. In nearly 12 years of motoring with this car I can honestly say it's the best car Ive had. I bought my first one 53 years ago! Reading what can go wrong with modern cars and the cost of repairing them, I shall stick with my old PUG even when it goes past the 200000 miles mark. It has 111,000 on the clock at the moment and the way it is running will easily achieve that.
