Comfortable small car

I bought this new in November 2007. I needed a small, comfortable car with a good economy for my way to the university 35 miles away back and forth every day for 3 years, 5 days a week. For being such a small car, it is very comfortable. The back seat space is quite small but that never bothered me. Same goes for the boot. The sight out from the driver seat is nice and the car can be parked almost anywhere! Just loved the parallell parking!

But there are some bad things to mention as well over the last 3-4 years. The main reason I changed this car is something many people can probably live with, but it annoyed me to such extents that I had to change it in the end. The problem is the light bulbs... I have changed every exterior light bulb (except for the blinking lights) at least 2 times. The front bulbs have been changed every 2-3 months on average. To me it seems like it has to be some kind of an electric overload when starting the engine.

In addition the car makes some grinding noise in the morning when it is wet outside. Probably due to corrosion on breaks. It goes away after a few miles when the breaks start moving again, but very annoying! Peugeot should really start using another materials here.

In January 2011, my car had the ESP lamp turn on together with a very loud sound scaring the c*** out of me on the highway at a speed of 70 mph. When brought in for service, it turned out an electronic box, seated somewhere near the steerin wheel, had cut out. The repair cost was 1100£ (in Norway) but luckily I didn't have to pay due to the 5 year electronic equipment failure warranty.

Even though the car clearly has some issues (at least the 2007-2008 model), it still served as a good and reliable ride. Even in cold winters where the car was parked outside every day in -30 degrees celsius, it still started up just fine, every single time.
