Reliable daily transport

As someone who has purchased 36 plus cars during my lifetime this has been one of my better purchases. I enjoy the elevated driving position and the 5 star ncap rating of this vehicle is reassuring. It hasnt been without fault but is proving to be reliable.. A rear oxygen sensor went at 32000 miles but was easily replaced all in for 170 pounds stirling by a local garage. I change the oil religiously every 12 months with high quality Shell Helix ultra 5w 30 and as my yearly mileage is now so low about 3500 miles the oil comes out virtually clean.I have replaced front and rear pads and as a precaution replaced the cvt fluid which is NS2 and only available from Nissan dealerships. At just over 80 pounds for 4 litres and you need approximately 8 litres for a full flush this isnt cheap. The car has only done 35000 miles but its cvt fluid was dark brown and should be green . Replacing the cvt fluid makes the car smoother on tickover when drive is engaged something to do with its torque convertor.I have got used to the CVT as an automatic which performs differently from a standard autobox.I have concerns about its long term reliability but am keeping my fingers crossed. The fuel economy is ok for a 2 litre petrol engine recording 27 /28 mpg average around town and most of my journeys are short so I cant justify getting a diesel version which by all accounts isnt much more economical. The drive is quiet and comfortable over long distances so ideal for touring with the engine barely ticking over. Im running 16 inch wheels that help make this car handle well. There is very little body roll and handling is good even at speed. The Dueller sport tyres are excellent(Bridgestone).Space is a bit tight in the rear for two adults but more than adequate. The boot is large but with the back seats down doesnt provide a flat platform just slightly raised. The quality of some of the interior plastics isnt great new QQs have better interiors. My cloth interior has worn well.My car has had one recall for a petrol pump and another for reprogramming the cvt box. The latter makes the car run at very low revs and no doubt aids economy but sometimes I feel the car should be revving higher and didnt like the way the car changed gears .Sometimes I feel the car is just ticking over and should be in a different gear when in slow moving town traffic. I have got used to this but I suspect Nissan reprogrammed the cvt to save the gearbox . I drive cars for a living now and the cvt boxes on other cars that I drive eg Suburu seem better suited to their cars. Would I buy another QQ? It has been reliable but I keep worrying about the cvt box possibly due to what I have read about them elsewhere. Im a bit conservative so will probably seek a conventional auto for my next purchase just to err on the side of caution. I personally dont like the fact that the new QQs have such tiny engines albeit that they seem to perform well.
